the front area is slowly cracking, but it is taken time, most of these are Guard type troops, I am having to shoot them to death, to break them

there reinforcements are causing pain, my It Troops have come back, but there morale is shattered, got a few Reinforcements showing up, but not enough to matter

did two charges on some life Guard Dragoons, major mistake, lost over 5000 men, doing so, but broke them in the end

yeap, this is the battle I wanted last time

it is a bloodbath for both sides, the English have at least 4 guns in action, and have captured one of my Heavies and one of my Cav

I have taken out most of his Guards, either dead or captured, if this force had gotten to the battle while the Guards were still alive, it may of been a different story, still a little too close to call yet, but I have slaughtered them, I am not sure they can hold much longer, before Panic begins to tell

night fell just in time, my holding forces were getting ready to break and then my guns would of been unsupported, my reinforcements are getting close to being in place

the English have a Horse arty, I want in return for my Heavy, I have found 2 Rifle Divs in his battle line

if the morning lasts, this may be one of my biggest battles, with some of my worst troops

the end came, didn't get much during the chase, must of been tired, but the end result was nice

and I was able to take my Heavy back afterward, but missed on the HorseGuns, and the Arty I did take, was too low to keep !!!!

Great battle, really enjoyed that one

I must say, the AI has a sense of humor

I defeated the English Army in London, and they gave up to Spain, the next turn, Spain DoW on me, and I take London, which then the English give up, when it is time to get what I can get, it is all gone, Spain took it

this just took a very winnable Campaign, to a very HARD one, I have 42-43 months to end it, but I need to knock out spain fast, so I can declare total war on them

ahhh, at least something worked, I got a peace treaty set up with Russia and Sweden, I need to be at peace with Russia and I need my Armies down south, not east, and our enforced peace just ended, cut that close

went to war with Portugal, and am moving Heavy into Spain, lost two minor sea battles to the Spainish Med Fleet, but one of my main fleets is headed that way

Portugal falls, the border of Spain belongs to France, the Rock falls to a sneak seaborne attack (the Spainish were not able to garrison it in time) the Turks are overruning Spainish NA, saving me some work down the road

Spainish Morale is falling, but they can hang on for a while with that

Is North America just an off the map zone that you don't actually move around in?

Thanks,
Bill

okay, back on track, Spain surrender, I got 38 months to go, which means I got a 18 month delay, before I can go for the win, but time to worry about the Ossites and to do what I need in NA first

nex war with Spain will be Total War, meaning I got to take off Spain in one shot, so for my peace treaty, I took away all of Spains Island areas, the only thing I want them to own, is Spain itself

now is the worst part, the waiting

need the peace treaty to run out, and wait to see what the Ossites will do next

I was hoping the Ossites would be happy with a show of force on there borders, while my main forces are waiting for the peace to end, but no, they DoW on me, I send in my 3 little Armees to see if they can settle them down

hmmmmm, something tells me, I made a mistake someplace

time to fire my Intell guys, I didn't see this many troops in the area

ahhh, he must of had his readyness down, and then increased it right before he DoW on me, now a easy battle turns into a tuff one, even worst, I don't have normal troops here, just odds and ends

as soon as I seen the map, I started to worry, outnumbered and can't form a soild line, terrain is all for the Enemy

all I can do is, support my Guns and stand in place, I got too much Cav and not enough Inf for this kind of battle

already lost one Supply wagon and one of my guns took a charge, held, but lost alot of men, but the Ossites are taken it on the chin, HARD

well, as you can see here, it was not the cake walk I was planning on, a good HARD fought battle, the Ossites surprised me, I may even treat my Pows with a little respect this time

and the numbers show how badly the Ossites were hurt in the last battle

I win this one, I should knock the Ossites out of the war, nobody can take those kinds of losses and stay in the battle

now this is more the French battle plan in action, Cav to hit and run, the Inf either stands or forms Square, if Squared, the Guns rip them apart, if they stand, a chance the Cav rips them apart (then again)

Inf for support and added firepower

how sweet it is to get some open terrain mixed with some defendable areas

Guns are a pain, Guns vs Guns do little, Inf vs Guns, do some, but take more in return, and Cav and charges don't work too often, if you get a Gun unsupported, try a charge, you make kill some troops, or disorder it, or push it back disordered, or capture it, but the odds are really with the Guns now (a Gun set up and supported correctly, is near impossable to take out, other then tradeing shots with it, and you normally are going to lose that trade)

if and when, you want to get flankers on them, 3 Inf point blank, the flanker bonus with start to wear them out, (get them in smoke, out of ammo, tired, and it gets easier)

I had one battle recently, the same gun was taken 3 times, there were bodies flying all over

that is the A key

I keep forgetting to post this screen shot, this is what you get when a war ends, you get to pick where your troops will end up, plus they get a free turn of supply, so you don't lose troops due to winning

20 months to go and Total War has been declared on Spain, 6 armee's have been given the orders to begin there march early, England has Dow upon us, but what can they do ? they need a fleet to do anything, and that is at the bottom of the Channel or in my ports, the only two major fleets besides my own, are Spains and Turkeys, and the Spainish fleet in the Channel should be defeated soon (of course, I only got one ship of the line in that Fleet, but..., why let details get in the way)

Food and supplies have been stockpiled, and Garrison troops are waiting to move forward to protect the dumps once the Armees are finished in that area

let slip the Dogs of War, the end is near

Odd, i don't know you guys are, but something made me mad, and I had to catch myself, instead of taking my time, letting my reinforcements get here and setting up for a simple battle, I started chargeing right in, since I am mad, I want to hurt them now, not later, funny, how things can change your play style

but, here is a shot of supply, got a couple things to show here, you see troops with a 10, that is normal supply, one of the upgrades you can get, lets you resupply up to 13, that guy with a 20, he has a Baggage train skill/upgrade (good for supply, poor for speed, but it is a Heavy gun and slow anyway)

the last is, you can see that I got my wagons a little farther away then normal, since they are on a road, they can supply a greater distance away, as long as it is close to the road

I called another of my Armees in for help, more to see them in action then I need them, it is my newest one

uploaded the wrong Snap :)
