I think she's very pretty..natural pretty which is what I admire. My wife wears no makeup nless she's going out...she is beautiful either way. One might even say hot, and I've called her that in the past and she didn't slap me.

Terminus, I expect rather than suggesting Ike hasn't been around many women, you've been hanging around the wrong women .

Who did you tell she was ":hot" and not get slapped? Maria Wetterstrand or your wife? Just joking JD

Fargo, although named after a North Dakota city, was filmed in Minnesota, and Minnesota was the setting.

The language and inflection used in Fargo was a caricature of how people speak in Minnesota. Almost no people who actually live here speak like that - just as people from the East Coast don't all sound like Fran Drescher. There are some areas with the German der slipping in, but the German and Scandinavian accents are mostly gone.

By the way, most Canadians don't sound like Bob and Doug Mckenzie either.

Interestingly enough, actress Isla Fisher was born in Oman to Scottish parents, has an Australian accent, but almost exclusively has played American roles with various American accents. She's a worldly lady. Maybe I'll write her in for senator.

Do you live in St. Paul or Minneapolis, because I swear, I knew people from Minnesota that sounded just like Fargo? There is a distinct Northern North American accent, and Palin has it. And yes, many people in New York DO sound like Fran Drescher, if they were born and bred in NYC (particularly Queens). In fact, I was in North Carolina and there was this lovely woman running a yarn shop my wife wanted to go into. I talked with her a bit and asked "Are you from the Bronx?" She was, and her accent was distinct enough that it was noticeable. Don't get me started on Boston... they talk like they want to be British and fail.

Also, there were MORE than ONE porn actresses in the Italian parliament? I thought Cicciolina (Ilona Staller) was the only one!

I think Maria Wetterstand looks very pretty, make-up or not. She has that classic ivory-skin look, and one has to love that!

Well, accents do vary from person to person, even within an area. I should know! I am 3rd generation native of San Francisco, but I had a co-worker tell me that he knew which part of Boston I was from. He did not understand why I laughed, until I explained.

Just to keep the record straight, it is "Ike99" who has posted here and whose exposure to comely women has been questioned as to extent and quality.

I am the "original Ike" and this is my first post on the thread.  My exposure to comely women has never been questioned, as I have the reputation of being a life-long skirt-chaser.  In fact, I was in the running for the Regional Championships in the SE Asian Region in the years 1965 - 1972 and the U.S. IntraRegionals (SouthWest IR) in the years 1972 - 1984.

Just so the record is clear and correct, gentlemen .. and ladies if any.
