Status: offline 		In ENH, the first few scenarios after the training ones are the Otto Carius tiger battle ones...great historically based scenarios, love them...except.

I have yet to win a single one of them as Carius...in fact, he dies every time. First turn or second, pow, tiger in flames, any survivors machine gunned to bits. The End.

Any trick to these? The tiger seems more like a sherman in these scenarios, 88 rounds bouncing off the IS-1s and T-34s, while the Russkie's shots blow off tracks, wreck the main gun, etc. I checked my settings, everything looks ok...what gives? Am I just having a run of bad luck with these scenarios? In my last one, an IS-1 charged to point blank range, 88 shots bouncing off it like spit wads, and fired a point black shot that took off the 88 of Kercher's tank, then finished him off with the second salvo.

I should stick with my banzai charges and Chi Ha tin cans...I just wiped out a marine battalion with my forces, I must admit, mostly due to crappy AI deployments and tactics, rather than me being a sneaky Jap.

Status: offline 		Sounds like a corrupt Steel.prf file to me...unreasonable armour penetration results are a sure sign things aren't kosher in the routine.

I say this because I know those scenarios intimately...I designed them, so I know how they play out fairly well. And while tough battles, the Tigers shouldn't be getting KO'd this easily.

Status: offline 		How do I fix this then?  Something is twitchy with my game...I still cannot get an assault scenario to work, forces will not appear on the map, and my tigers as outlined above, seem like they are made out of tin foil.

Status: offline 		Go into ur "SAVE" file in main Spwaw folder and delete the "steel.prf" file.   HTH

The game will generate a fresh one when you restart ur saved game.

Status: offline 		Its kinda surprised me when I first saw a wartime photo of Otto. He is a slightly built physically unimpressive looking guy, but put him in a Tiger tank and everything changes

I believe he is still alive but he would be in his mid 80's by now...so I'm not sure how active he would be with the business any more.
