I'm trying to remember the title of a movie I watched as a 12 year old boy long after he'd been told to go to sleep...so please bear with my memories.

The movie starts with Luftwaffe bomber crews marching to their HE-111's...old ex-Spanish ones with Rolls Royce or Hispano-Suiza engines...the aircrews are singing
A group of BEF soldiers are ambushed in France...
And some German spies get back into Britain in Britisah uniform...the main one looks like James Garner (but I'm not sure if it's him) He's killed later while trying to sabotage an RAF radar station.
..here's where i doubt my memory, cause it makes no sense...
Seems to me that spitfires had been painted with German crosses, and that the RAF flyers were flying British marked bf-109's (ex-spanish too with Hispano-Suiza engines)
I've rewatched the well-known Battle of Britain and I'm sure the one I remember isn't it.
This one I am thinking of had more and far better aerial combat footage.

I've thought about this movie on and off for years, but never seen it a second time...can anyone give me some ideas?
Thank you, in advance.

Best Wishes,

Gary

I haven't got a clue - but wanted to bump your thread up hoping somebody else will - now I'm curious too.

I remember seeing "Sink the Bismark" when I was a kid - then saw it many years later - when your little things like that are sooo much better.

I remember this one, but for the life of me I can't remember the title! I'll have to do a little research...

Thanks for the bump-up and your interest, Figmo. I've done web searches for Battle of Britain films and James Garner and not come up with anything. I'll keep looking.

Best Wishes,

Gary

If you're going to find that movie anywhere, I'll bet it'll be here:

Thanks for the link, mate, but it isn't there. I've left a posting at a BoB forum...maybe they can help...it's frustrating, not knowing.

If you can recall any of the actors' names in the movie, you might try the Internet Movie Database, http://www.imdb.com. Good luck!
