"After about a decade of hibernation, large-scale historical strategic games appear to be making a comeback. Banished from the popular consciousness as either too big or too clumsy, the absence of these games nevertheless left a vacuum for wargamers. Have designers responded to criticisms of their earlier work? Will gamers accept that a certain level of work is involved in playing these games? Time will tell. "
