Yep, progress.

When I was a kid, a million years ago, I couldn't understand how the Navy could build ships without all of those gun tubes and that the # of planes in a strike package was so small, compared to bombing raids of WW2. Of course I was born in 1950, was used to the massed firepower doctrine of WW2 and my war saw the flexible, mobile doctrine used.
