I love the breadth of games available from matrix, but it seems that one era seems missing - The Sendoku Jidai Era - which imho would be a great historical period to game. There are a few wargames that exist today Ran and Samurai from GMT -

I thought that Shogun: Total War is about that era...

Though I'm rather boring...,it's historical accuracy is correct.

I just reinstalled shogun gold from total war eras and checked whether the mouse problem I had years back with 8800GTS is gone. And it is! I dont know if its my 500€ superclocked GTX280 or new drivers but I can finally replay the first total wars.

I'm not sure of the status of the mod, but there have been several attempts to mod either rome or medieval TW to shogun again.

Its hard put possible. Make one or two ranks and skirmirsh them to death. Just keep an eye that you dont get cornered. Use timeslider to accelerate because it might take som time get sufficient amount of them killed.

You mean just run around the map and occasionally fire arrows? Tried that too, but only up to treeline on the hill
