I can not find any way to change the att/loss % for any unit. It is set at 25% for all units at the start. The manual says this can be adjusted. A side question...how do you get your fighter units to do an intercept of attacking aircraft?

There are small boxes on the right side of the bottom section of the screen.... where you can adjust how much supply each unit gets... and how many losses they will take before retreating... and for fighters what percentage of the time they will intercept.

As for what these values are at the start..... I was not able to find anything in the rulevars that can change this for produced units but you might be able to set these things in scenarios that have units at the start.

?

I thought you could set the planes to intercept yes or no (no when your planes are still at 10% exp., or when you are heavilly outnumbered, or they do need a break), or you can set them to intercept at certain readiness values.

Go to Sub formation section of edit area. Pick a subformation. One of the edit options allows you to change this PER subformation. I believe. I believe same page that has number of attacks.

You go to edit. from there you click SFtypes

pick Statistics 2 option.

at the bottom of the column of push button options is loss and retreat, separate tabs.

What are people uses for the retreat % ?? For me I usually keep my staff at 5% so if they ever are attacked they will get an organized retreat..   And important to hold places are ofcourse 100%! Also if you are unsure if you want to commit to a fighter attack gamble (Dont know what the opponent has of fighters) you can go for a 5% or 25% loss % attack or use a scouting run for only 2 rounds of combat.

Artillery also usually goes in 5% if it is alone or if it is together with infantery i keep it at 50%. My normal formations not in the front is usually 50% or 100%.
