Hi, I just bought the game and im learning by playing the AI...but i just have one question so far. Does the settings "Easy/Medium/Hard" really have a difference in the quality, style and 'smarts" of the AI, or is it simply a level of the bonus money and VP the AI countries get?

Currently it only gives money/manpower and political/victory points..

In these forums you can see where it has been discussed previously about changing it to not give the VP as that skews the game to giving the AI countries unreachable amounts of VP per econ so you will never beat them. The $/MP helps the computer the most, the PP keeps them from falling into instability and loosing minors so the more they get the more they build and fight against you. As for the AI it is still being worked and I hope someday will have that option. As for myself, I usually play on Med if I am playing anyone except England or France and hard for them (as that one is a race for VP) and it seems challenging enough for now.
