The few times I have tried rugby in the past (I don't play now at d***ed near 60,) I remembered my days at catcher and the pitcher who had a tendency to throw 58' pitches. I still hurt, but the other guy was hurt (and surprised) even more.

I thing 7th december is best date to start, and 2011 will have nice rounded aniversary, but I thing 09 will be nice too.

Even if the doolittle raid was meant to be symbolic and a morale booster, the truth, in hindsight is the effect was actually quite strategic in that it prompted the japanese into their ill fated invasion of Midway which was a huge thing.
