I'm curious what games you guys play besides WiTP.
For me, I'd say Close Combat: Wacht Am Rhein.
Most of my years of gaming have been Civilization, but I think I'm outgrowing it as it gets more RTS-kiddie based. Newcomer to CC series (as in only a few weeks) but love it already. Clearly room to improve and grow, but what an elegant and nuanced system overall.
ADDIT: I mispoke and said "Civilization, but I think I'm outgrowing it as it gets more FPS-kiddie based." In my original post, when what I really meant was "RTS-kiddie based."

i'll dust off one of the Talon soft Napoleon games every now and then. Seriously, if i need some mindless entertainment i'll fire up the kids Playstation 3 and do a little Call of Duty..
in one of my old clans a couple of the guys seemed to be hackers cuz it was almost impossible to kill them, so i brought out the automatic shotgun, and then they started whining cuz they got a taste of their own medicine. funny as hell

yeah I play CS 1.6, true there are cheaters out there, however I mostly scrim with my clan and got a great bunch doing so. We got one of the best servers out there, a georgia electrified server, most people get around 20-50 ping on it. I threw around the idea to an old jarhead friend of mine who left the marines on disability, and we formed a 5 man group so far for fun.

I get different moods sometimes, so I have a few old favorites that stay on the hard drive, plus one new addition.
I like Tropico and Tropico2 for fun little strategy games, also the Railroad Tycoon series.
Bethesda's RPGs have always been fun, so at this time I have Fallout 3, Oblivion and Morrowind on the drive (in order of present popularity).
SPWAW, WPO, UV, Combat Mission and CM2 are the wargames that have stayed on the playlist. I really wish that AOS2 had not been such a bugfest - it was so close to being a truly sweet naval wargame!
So this means that one of these games gets the approximately four hours in a week that I can devote to a computer game that is not WITP...

There are other games besides WitP?!? Ok, if I want a change from WitP, I play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Other permanent residents on my hard drive are Civ 4 Complete, SH4 and Sniper Elite.
If not playing Witp, i'll play Colonization (the new one based on CivIV). Or Battle in Normandy Or Battle in Italy. both are Matrix Games......
Can't manage to play Real Time games: toooooooo fast for my little brain (and hands). So, no Combat Mission, No Call of Duty, Stalker, or else. Need time to think about what i'm doing....

Apart from the 2x WitP PBEM games I have going at present, I am starting a Combat Mission-Shock Force(Marines) PBEM game against my Son, we played Barbarossa for years.

World of Warcraft (Level 80 Mage, Ner'Zhul) and Rock Band 2 mostly. Though I also play DotA, IL-2, Left 4 Dead, Empire: Total War, Dawn of War 2, Day of Defeat, and Super Smash Brothers: Brawl. Basically whatever my friends are playing.

The only other games currrently on my HD are M2TW and the original Railroad Tycoon. Neither one sees much time. Any non-WitP game time in the last 2.5 years has gone to OGame online. Universe 23, THE THREAD Alliance, of course.

OMG!
TOAW, SPWAW, WPO (actualy TOAW and WPO I know what those are)???
Could you spell out your acronyms once? That is the convention in the academic literature: "hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal axis (HPA) has been now to show increased cortisol secretion when gamers are denied access to War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition (WiTP AE). . ."
ADDIT: Okay a semi-complete list of acronyms so far, and I'll provide a key for those I know: SPWAW: ?? WPO: War Plan Orange (Matrix game based on WiTP engine) TOAW: The Operational Art of War (Matrix Game) UV: Uncommon Valor (predecessor of WiTP, right?) CM2: ?? AOS2: ?? S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: ?? (or maybe that is not an acronym?) ETW: ?? CM: Normandy: What does CM stand for? IL-2 1946: IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 another game by Ubi-Soft (same maker of Silent Hunter 4 it seems) OMG, this is crack . . DoTA: ?? M2TW: ??
Did I miss any?

Can't believe nobody has mentioned "Red Orchestra" It is the only shooter out for WWII fanboys. Not a Quakefest but calls for serious group tactics on the Eastern front. You can also drive a tank with up to three crew members, man a MG42 and have to change out the barrel before you burn it up, or just use the bayonet, and there are two amazing mods out that take it to North Africa and the Western front. All the balistics are real. Trouble is, the maker Tripwire never got the promotion out and most shooterboys play the horrible "Call of Doodie". Actually has been a boon for Red Orchestra. A small but serious adult community with no cheaters and hackers. PC only-not made for the console which has limited the number of kiddies and morons playing. Check it out. They frequently offer it for ten bucks on steam.
Like John, I love the HPS Civil War series. Just got Musket and Pike which is based on the same engine. It is very good.
Still love to put Diablo II into the machine and play solitare. A classic
IL2 is almost ten years old and is still the king of flight sims. Where else can you fly an IAR 80?
Company of Heros is a fun diversion.
And Combat Mission Afrika Korps. I still play that by email. Wish they would update it. Still a hell of a game.
