Just installed 1.06 BETA and tried an 1812 Russian campaign as France.
Venetia is a french Freestate but the Area of Mantua is under Control of Austria and i can't place a build venetian garrison in this city

Status: offline 		I've seen this too. France has Venetia at the beginning of the 1812 scenario, but Mantua is listed as Austrian-controlled, so looks like a problem with the initial state. You can sometimes even see Austrian orange over Mantua in the thumbnail map.

i didn'd start a "normal" campaign, so i don't know if this will be the same.
i also saw an orange Mantua at thumbmap.
