im running cc under vista. whenever i load a save it crashes on the screen after you chose what units you want, it say click to start.then it ctd and says the .exe stoped working.i have it saved but where are save games stored?

i have every other close combat and this is the only one that has caused this problem.

Saved games are here

C:\Matrix Games\Close Combat The Longest Day\GAMES\Save\The Longest Day


1. Are you using the stock game?
2. H2H or v the AI
3. Are you using stock units in your BattleGroup or do you switch them out?
4. Do you switch in the same unit every time?

1.yes in using the stock game
2.ai
3.default units
4.na-use default everything

If you have Vista setup to use multiple ID's the saved games are not stored under the game directory but in a location for the person logged in.

Example below from Vista 64:
C:\Users\"login ID"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Close Combat The Longest Day\GAMES\Save
