Hi all

I have been working on a scenario but I have run into a problem:

When I am in the editor I can scroll around the map just find when I am in edit-map-mode, or edit-force-mode. But when I change to deployment-mode Opart300 will crash after a short moment. Sometimes I can work for a minute or so, but in the end the program always crashes when I'm in deployment mode.

This only happens when I am working on this specific scenario.

What might be wrong?

Thankfull for any help I can get!!

OK so I spent all saturday looking at the problem and this is what I found:

When I play the scenario I found that when selecting som units I received the message: "Parent id not valid" and then Opart300 crashed.

So I found that about a dozen units had been renamed! The program had by itself added the "+" after the unit name. Moreover I found that one of these units appeared only once in the OOB and only once in the scenario dump file, but appeared TWICE on the map and in different locations! When I select the unit in the deployment mode in the editor, both instances of the unit dissapear from the map.

Has anyone met with this problem before?!

I would be grateful if someone would like to take a look at the scenario in the editor and tell me if I have gone mad or if its Opart...

Sort of. I used to see that error message in the scenario Guerra Civile. Deleting the units in question resolved the problem.

As you may be aware, adding a "+" is normal when a unit is copied. So it was probably copied incorrectly by the game at some point.

OK, then at least I'm not insane...

Problem is I have already deleted the units in question, re-created them and deployed them again and the error remains.

What else could I attempt? Or is the scenario helplessly corrupt... :(

Try doing a search on "Parent" or "not valid" here or at GameSquad, etc. I feel sure this issue had been resolved somewhere before.
