Under what condition does the Reinforce button reveal itself on the Battle Group Screen. I have played 2 long campaigns and have never seen this button. Do all the units in the Battle Group Force pool have to been 0 before it Shows.

Hello,

I take it that like WaR, not all BGs can be reinforced, which would mean very very few German Bgs (maybe none) in TLD will have that option and there will be limited allied BGs that can be.

Use to be in WaR before all patches, if a BG could be reinforced the button was active before the first battle. Then I thk changes were made were the button didnt appear until the BG took damage (so that you actually had somethg to be reinforced).

If you get down to all 0's in a FP (talking one that had reserves), I'd say its about time to send the survivors back home to their wives and kinder.

Gz...

No Battle groups are able to reinforce in tLD.

7 German and 20 Allied BG's can reinforce in WaR.... you can only reinforce when the changes will actually strengthen your BG.

Nothing wrong with attrition playing a roll in a game.

I didnt like that feature in WaR and I am actually glad to see it not used in TLD.

The online manual does say "IF" its present, so its kinda misleading. I take that its still an option available to be used if someone whats to create their own OP or GC?

One more reason why manuals need to be unique to the game and not copied over from another one, but if it saves us money I guess a little confussion is ok.

Gz...

hmmm..

Attrition plays a huge role in WaR... slightly less of a role for the BG's that can reinforce but a significant role none the less.

lol...

I wasnt directing that comment to say WaR didnt have attrition, actually I was saying the opposite....

Ive played the German side enuff to know its all about attrition for them, I just wish same coulda been said for allies side a little more. I played allies side before the patch (beta 5 i take it?) added all the extra units, mainly to allies it seemed to me anyway, taking teams from 20+ size to 40+ size and at that point it seemed no matter how well you played the Germans you would never be able to win on numbers unless I guess you play the AI. I like the fact the numbers in the FP are much smaller in TLD and I hope they stay that way. It means surrounding and disbanding a BG will have a much greater effect, the way I think it should be.

To me it just seems the Germans are getting screwed again 60+ years later, not that thats a bad thing, but I would like to see this game offer at least a hope to rewrite history...One main thing I point to there is Bastogne. I would say I played at least 5 GCs, 2 as allies and 3 as germans, never did anyone get there (playing to day 5 and 6) before the game was conceeded. Now history tells us it was surrounded? My only grip there was why were so many maps clustered around that area, making it almost impossible to get there? If others have kicked-ass with German side against a equal skilled player in the GC (non mod 7patch) then I guess its me and I suck because I sure didnt have any luck with them!... FD2 I dont take nothing away from your game play, you were one very good player, but you also cost me about 5 yrs off my life too...

Still early into TLD GC (playing Allies side), but my first thoughts are telling me Allies are getting the better end again in a line vs line level matchup with equal skilled oppenents. Maybe thats why I like it so much at this point!...

Gz...
