If an all generals RG's mod game gets going post patch count me in, but again I suggest a control general appearing turn 2 to confirm everything is on the level.

HiHi

England T45 sent in.

PS assuming this is a 1792 start then it seems to me (but I may be wrong) that this games Generals have been Modded as some English & Spanish Generals are showing different Rateings/abilities.

Weird. I am making a guess here, but it sounds like those of us that started with the mod had our starting generals changed. Also because all of us didn't have the mod, the new generals aren't showing up. This might lead to an unfair/unbalanced game.

Between this and aprezto's point that anyone new may have knowledge from AAR's, I'm starting to think this game might be doomed.

GG?

Hmm-this sis an interesting development. I had forgotten about the "fame" changes. My big guy Selim, has a 100 something fame-IIRC in stock, he has a 400 fame. I will confirm this in an an hour or so.

The only difference in stats for Turkey is the "base" number. The modded numbers are generally much lower than stock. Also importantly, Turkey still has only 9 general when it should have 10. In the stock version it would have started at ten and soon be eleven.

Turkey's turn 45 is in. However, unless we can get this game straightened out, I do not see continuing it for very long.

A suggestion; if we do "call" the game, lets take a turn or two so as to get into some positions for massive battles. Let's go out in a blaze of glory rather than a whimper. Perhaps Mus would like to participate in that.

If you guys do that, count me in.

Interesting observation on the changes to the game IW. I HAD noticed that, which is why I didn't notice the mod wasn't firing on all cylinders until we got to Turn 43 when I was scheduled to get Cotton and Clinton as 1 stars.

Also Boney was supposed to make an appearance T43 and Terje notified me no joy.

Credit all goes to Peter... in more ways than one.

Well guys I don't really see any way around it so for me I think it's game over, unless anyone has any ideas of a remedy. Otherwise, if you guys want to tear Europe a new one, I'll clear Spain's password and let you have at it.

I look forward to a new game with the next patch.

Well I guess I can't complain if you're willing to carry on without Napoleon lol. I just thought it would be unfair to have some players with better stats for generals etc. Then there's the problem of finding a longterm GB player to relieve Peter who has been kind enough to help out.

I'm open to suggestions for a remedy like I said.

Well, since you guys think this is coming apart at the seams and all, I decided I'd spice things up a bit. Russia has DoWed Austria, nothing personal comrade, but your dominion over Vilna, etc. is intolerable.

There is room for only ONE! "Prison of Nations" in the East!

I'll be honest I'm a bit disappointed that the generals are not showing up, though not really because I think it will impact, rather because it seems to be impacting you guys. I feel like I've got Russia fairly figured out and was really looking forward to playing this one through. Ah well, just a game.

Is the All-Generals-1792 version going to be included in the next patch? Since you guys are pretty despondent about this, you might want to make a fairly loud noise to the Devs to try to insure that it makes its way into the next patch.

HiHi

Just a thought I've already mentioned to Bill, I dunno for sure but it may well be that you all did Mod up OK and that it's just that the Mod doesn't function well in a PBEM game, afterall some of the offical WCS stuff doesn't carry over to PBEM.

So any folk who are gonna lobby for it's inclussion in the patch may well need to add that it's also PBEM tested by the Beta testers in PBEM games 1st.

All the Best

HiHi

PS, another one, Sheeee that’s 2 already today! Is there no stopping the lad?

As it seems no one is gonna rush forth to take over the England spot then I'll carry on in the role, therefore if you Chaps can overcome the abject misery of not getting all your Generals then it is still game on (well as far as I'm concerned) so sudden bursts of anguish transferring to a Kamikaze mode of play “May?” not seem such a Good idea further down the road

HiHi

Hellfire it must be something I ate, but its passed through my Brainbox that, as I haven't Modded up for the game and yet still have the altered Gen stats showing, might it be that the only one that needs to set the Mod up is in fact the 1st player ie france, he sets the paramiters for the game and everybody else is included?

Gonna go for a rest now, all this 'Thinking' ain't good for me.

All the Best

HiHi

Englands T46 sent in.

As you Chaps seem to be lumbered with me as your new England, it may be an idea to treat it as a sort of "the King is dead, long live the King ...Maker" which does mean that anybody that had, "Deals", going with Mus will have to confirm with the New administration about there continuance.

All the Best

HiHi

If I ain't replied to any Diplo stuff recently please bare with me, fraid with my present Work & Games commitments I'm feeling I'm running round like the little Dutch boy sticking my finger in Dams trying to stem the tide, it's not deliberate Bad manners on my part and I'll try to get some time cleared to respond in the near future.

But if you ain't heard from me in the next 24 hrs send me an "Oy! were's my answers then?" I won't take offence, it just may be your stuff has slipped under the Radar.

Again my apologies for any lack of communication on my part.
