My game was getting a bit buggy, so I reinstalled. As the Generals mod was not functioning in our game for whatever reason, I did not put it back in. My last turn was played with the fresh install. If there are any problems with this situation, let me know and I will do something different.

Ah my bad that. It was taken care of in the original files sent, but I had to redo my turn and then it vanished
Deal sent now, although it is somewhat "funny" as the trade window is LAGGY at best... Deal is still as agreed upon though.

Turkey's turn 98 in.

Woe unto the invaders of the Ottoman Empire.
The poor Austrians bumped into the elite of the elite-but I was still quite worried about the outcome of that looming battle.

It's not too late for Austria to receive an honorable peace. Should you attempt to enter a Holy City of the O.E., that may change.

My little army in Belgrade was loaded with upgrades-and some nice horse artillery. Those decisive victories really have an affect on the genrals "fame.

Maestro could you update your AAR for this game? As your early game trading partner I have some idea of what your economic/development plan started as, but am really curious as to the details of what you did mid game to recent to be able to hang with the big boys instead of being the sick man of Europe.

I have the files of past turns. I intend to update the AAR at some point in the future. I'm afraid that the maneuver aspects of the great war with Austria are largely lost to posterity, but I will be able to do an overview.

I can say that the Ottoman Empire has not been transformed into an economic giant-nor a military one. The war with Emperor Matto had brought most development to a screeching halt. instead of 15 to 20 going on at once, it has been more like 3 or 4-and at a slower rate.

This five or 6 year war has been very challenging and entertaining, but it was not good for the overall economy of Turky-at least I got a little glory from it.

I think I might have accidentally deleted the most recent turn (98 or 99??) in a recent inbox cleanout and the last one I have in my sent box is 97 which I think was a turn or two ago. I play on different machines so it can be a bit tough to keep track without my inbox.

Could you please resent the most recent turn?

If you use multiple machines, it might be a good idea to use something like Gmail or hot mail-then you can download what you want-where you want.

Another strange turn, the first naval battle I had the entire Spanish fleet and lost, but the second one only one container continued on the path I set (it appears) and I won that one. The combat in this game leaves me baffled lol.

Question: anyone know what it is you have to do to "attack" enemy depots at sea? (My fleet container with a couple ships left in it ended the turn in a sea zone with a British depot and merchant ship, but the depot still stands.)

To: L'Terje de France

We find your nearsighted naval actions in support of maintaining Great Britain's superiority at sea to be most disturbing and unfortunate! Let the international community take notice and remember whom to blame as Britain's unwelcome reach extends. Spain had actually considered allowing her fleets to be captured by France so as not to allow this might go unchecked. Considering the recent events however, Spain will scuttle her fleet in a grand ceremony, remembering these final brave and glorious battles. A more fitting end than allowing her decks to be fouled by the stench of Frog feet!

Cordially,

Jose Canusi
Foriegn Minister and Undersecretary to the King of Spain
