HiHi Well Seamus we all now know that your geographical knowledge far exceeds your knowledge of History, Minho, ... that would be _NOT_ a traditional part of the British Isles I think? Well spotted, I dare say looking at the map may have helped ... or? was it the fact that Minho is not an Island that gave it away, whatever, well done. (Just to update you on the Historical side). Minho is however a province of Portugal, who just happen until fairly recently to be Englands oldest allies (c600 years worth, and who’s artillery at least earned some praise during the Peninsular campaign, Hellfire, they even fought alongside us in WWI and at Passchendaele of all places), and even to this day they still play Cricket & Football like what we taught them! Where was I? Oh yes, and before you move further round the map and notice Naples is also now under English control, they too were allies of England during the Napoleonic wars, it’s where Admiral Nelson meet Lady Hamilton, (All say, “ahhh” ... don’t you just love a bit of romance?). As to the Germanic/Eastern powers support of England, that may well be coz, to create an idiom, they have a “Mad dog of a Russian Bear” prone to ‘Sneak attacks’ skulking on their boarders ... PS hows the weather in Russia? All the Best Peter
