Now that i reload my existing association I've lost the add-in drop down and calendar.  A started the association brand new in 1.75.  I've been opening/closing as I test XML tweaks.

Sooner,

you can right click the icons and select properties. Then look at the Target setting. The old one will probably be set to "autorun.exe" and the new icon set for "puresim2k7.exe". I deleted my old one and am just using the new one.

That's not good. I was concerned about having this problem with my existing association. Now you are having it with one created in 1.75.

Has anyone else seen this happen? Has anyone else been able to successfully load an existing 1.72 association on 1.75?

P.S. Does anyone know where I can still get a copy of 1.72?

EDIT: Never mind. I found my copy.

Well, I don't know if this helps or not, but I have an assn that was started with 1.71 and I've been simming with 1.72 ever since it first came out (7/20/08). And now I'm simming with 1.75 with no problems. Note: I never did install any of the 1.74 RCs. Just went straight from 1.72 to 1.75.

That's what I'm going to try. 1.75 just doesn't like my saved association, that was also started in 1.71, when I'm starting with a 1.74 base. I'm glad, though, that at least for newcomers the latest version will be working well for them and their new associations.

Thanks, Crash. Yeah, I guess I don't need the old anymore.

Shaun,

I get this error when trying to register that dll.

Are you running Vista? That basically means "Access denied" If you are not on Vista then maybe try disabling any anti-virus s/w.

Try running PureSim as administrator. See this page for more info on PureSim and Vista. I really believe this is not indicative of an issue with 1.75, seems to be an environmental issue.

Installed 1.75 directly over 1.72. The game seems to run fine, but I am missing the Expanded Team Results from the Team Management page. The shortcut still appears just below the Schedule Calendar, but leads to a blank page.

Every other option on the page works.

Anyone have any ideas where it can be found?

Run as administrator is the fix.  When I ran it for the first time, I did select run as administrator and thought it would remember it for the next time.  I just selected run as adminsistrator this morning and see my add-ins again.  Is there a way to make sure it remembers to always run PureSim as adminstrator?

Yes, you can set it as a property on the shortcut, see my link above.

I did the same thing. I assumed, wrongly it seems, that if I told it to run as administrator once then it would do it every time. This is the first time I've dealt with Vista and it drives me nuts sometimes. However, I changed the shortcut properties and all of sudden I see the add-ins for my saved association. Such a simple fix.

I'm not running Vista, so I'm not sure how to get PS to recognize the add-ins. I have a total of 27 add-ins available thru the drop-down menu on the Team Management screen. I have 31 files in my VB6 folder.

Before converting to 1.75 I was able to use the Expanded Team Results any time before the last day of the regular season. After that, they would change to zeroes. Now, there is literally nothing in there; it just sends me to a blank screen.

How do I get back what I had before? I'm fresh out of breadcrumbs

1.75 changed nothing with add-ins so maybe it has something to do with the way the add-ins load. Many of the add-ins were written by third parties. Did you to install to a folder besides the default? Just guessing.

All the add-ins are in the same VB6 folder. The Expanded Team Results shortcut shows on my screen but leads to nothing. There's a long list (27) of add-ins on the drop-in menu, but this isn't one of them. Strange.

Is this the right location? :

Here's something you can do, though it's not fun (I've done it when I've had add-in problems). Move all of your add-ins to a backup folder. Then start moving them back one at a time. Luckily, Puresim will recognize the add-ins you've just put in if you go out of the add-in screen and then back in. It may not solve any thing but at least you will be able to pin point the ones not loading and maybe figure out why.

Strangely enough, I went into some other associations, updated them to 1.75, and they worked fine. I only had one other assn where the Expanded Team Results did not work. I'd say 6 of 8 are working. The other two........?

Any Vista veterans know how to get around that Allow/Cancel option each time I try to start the game? I have it set to run as Admins, but it still prompts me for that.
