Hi,

I just downloaded and installed SPWaW 7.1. It looks like an amazing game. Unfortunately for some reason I am having problems getting it to run. When I start the prog from the start menu it runs through the intro sequence, the screen then flickers a couple of black squares and then it goes back to my windows desktop. Any ideas of how to fix this anyone? I so want to have a go at this game!
Oh I'm running it on Windows NT btw.

Just avoid launching the game using the shorcut on yr desktop.
Enter the spwaw main folder, then look for the Mech.exe file and double click on it.This will make the game starts skipping the intro video.
If you want to see the intro video, too, then you'll have to wait for the tips from some tech wizards :)

Hi,

This does not work either. The screen goes black for a few seconds and then returns to the desktop.
Any other ideas anyone?

Reinstall the game over itself, some times all the files don't get registered properly the first time through. Please include system spec's and do you have a sound card?

Hi,

I tried reinstalling it over the original installation but this didnt help either.
I am on NT V4 SP6

Pentium II with MMx - not sure of speed
I havent got a sound card - is that vital?
Any help really appreciated

Parawan: I'll stick my neck out since no one is answering your question. In the back of my mind I do believe that SPWAW will not work with NT. I looked high and low for the thread I saw it in but cannot find it. If I'm wrong you'll start getting the answers you want. GOOD HUNTING.....:)

I just reread your post...no sound cardee, no workee, soree guy.:(

The sound card is critical, SPWAW will not run without one sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Looks like Chief beat me too it.
