GC based on 30mins, with all beach maps played at 15mins.

Line vs Line, 100%.

This is our second try at this, as our first ended at the end of turn 1 day 1 after the game file became corrupted.

So we pretty much know our strategies for these first few maps, so its basically going to be a lot harder for me as the element of surprise is pretty much lost. Thanks to matrix and the diffrent deployment areas that should be less of a factor for this game then their previous ones. Time will tell on that thou!

First map of the GC I am listing is actually the results of the second battle on that map.

919th RGT/ 709th Inf Div (bad guys, lol) vs 502nd RGT/ 101st AB DIV

Second map in the GC (this will be our next battle in the GC) was the town of St Marie Du Mont. Horrible starting location for me, and Bob used the town with the skill of a master craftsman. I know what his intentions are for this BG since we've played this area before. Unfortunatly I probably will not be able to do much about it due to my starting location. My goal here will be to inflict as much damage as I can before he flees this map (stay Bob, lol).

Brevands. I think the word means death in like 5 countries and I believe it is were the death star from star wars was created in allien worlds.

Not much to say really, just death...lol...

One bridge, lot of cover on the side that I need to get too, just death really. Was a total blood bath and althou I got to the exit flag of that bridge I wasnt able to hold it. Thanks matrix for making that map, well death!

La Fiere Causeway.

All I can say is I dont like it.

Bob has the upper hand here in men and tanks. My goal is just to hold on and hope he makes a mistake.

Amfreville....

I love this map. Plenty of action. This is another example of AB winning the battle of moral in a blood bath battle.

Merville Battery...

Even thou germans are short handed on this map they still can put up a extremely good fight in the hands of a skilled oppenent. Unfortunatly for me I am up against such a oppenent. Bob's defense left a lot of my boys blood on the battle field. This map kinda reminds me of the Italy Campaign and the boot effect. We also consider this a beach map now due to off board arrty, so I am limited to 15m. Great map, I love it. Lot of action!

Pegasus Bridge...

Final map of the night turn.

Wasnt my best effort I must say. Ive had very good success here in the past GCs and I probabaly took this for granted that this battle would go like the rest. Well it didnt. Bob kicked my arse without a mortar team and one awesome at-gun. I was lucky moral didnt break, because it was on the verge and without hardly any flags I might have lost entire map. Who said the Ost cant fight?

Day 1 Turn 1....

Uncle Red!

Not much to say here really. Allies are pushing into a very weak defended german sector. Basically dont want to lose any shermans on this map because they will be needed inland.

Tare Green...

Second beach map of turn 1...

Fairly straight forward attack, moving in against a very weak german BG...

Nice job, Pz.

If I have time in the next weeks I'll see if I can't get some posts up also. My WITP AAR keeps me pretty busy as is.

Thanks guys, just trying to have fun with this. Rommel wrote a book and it came back to haunt him according to Patton, so I'll prob meet same fate vs Bob, but its all in fun.

WN 66/716th INF DIV vs 115th RGT/ 29th INF DIV

This was not a day at the beach for me. Replaying some maps isnt always so good the second time around. It wasnt great first time we played it (crashed GC), but this time my oppenent was very aggressive, and it payed off.

WN 20 / 716th INF DIV vs 8th BDE/ 3RD British ID

This battle concluded a marithon of CC action. Thank God I am off today!

Edit: I have to add this. Bob told me lone German that took out my tank also had 6 infantry kills. In the end he wanted his Free MTV, because he just surrendered! Sadly I have to report he was shot trying to use the remote (that was not included in the deal)!

Special Note:
On Gold Beach nothing major took place, basically got inland off the beach. The 69th then were rushed into the Arromanches area to support a breakout of the 231st pushing toward Crepon.
