I was taking a look at the El Alamein scenario which comes with Toaw to see if it was worth playing. Since only the German PO is available, I ran a PO only game to see how it would perform. I've seen that it is able to win most of the time, but only if capturing El Daba. The fact is that once in a while (I ran it multiple times), it wasn't able to capture it and would get a draw, at best. The briefing states that if the British player can hold El Daba in the last turns it gains a bonus. Looking at the results, even if the Germans can hold almost all the map and inflict a lot more damage, without El Daba its score is negative or very low. Since, even against an unprogrammed english PO the Germans can fail capturing El Daba, it will be very easy for a human to hold on.

Has someone already played this scenario? Is there a version with tweaked scoring criteria?

I didn't play the scenario, so, maybe I'm just ignoring some event or the like. Ok, I could try it before asking, but since my time availability is low at the moment, I have to be selective.

I've just realized that while writing in a hurry, I just inverted the roles of germans and british, but the logic continues the same. I think I have to take a rest.
