Bought this at the IWM last weekend for my son. Guess what I'm going to be doing for the next few weekends?

The Lanc has at best a 'wrinkly dog' kind of cuteness. Beautiful she is not. Effective, most certainly.

BTW, I have an annoying problem in one of my CHS games. I have had George's available and building for a couple months now, except of course that no planes get made. The problem seems to be the Adv Nakajima engines are not building, but I cannot figure out why. I have plenty of HI points. The factories are not halted. I did remember something about there being an issue if there aren't as many engine factories as frame factories, so I halted one of the George factories to see if it would build some planes. No dice.

I'm stumped. I was able to research them and advance their arrival by a month. Wondered if maybe that was buggered, but it is now well past their regular arrival date and still no planes. My HI pool keeps rising, but I'd really rather have the planes right now.

She's not a bad looking kite. There's only so much you can do with wings and a huge bomb-bay

I've always been secretly convinced the designer was inspired by Churchill's stogies.

Not like the USAAF 4-engined bombers were pretty.

That was the first set of model kits I built with my Grand-Dad many years ago. Back when the Lanc was still painted as Mike-Squared.

I'd put either a B-17 or B-29 up against a Lancaster any day. But the Navy PB4Y Privateer beets them both.

And the B-32 Dominator wasn't bad looking either.

Let's be honest. One of the fun things about having kids is the excuse they provide for buying things WE want, as we pretend it it is for them

I find, to my considerable dismay, that I miss having lots of people around me. I might even (horror!) have to go out and get an actual social life...

Just watch out for clinging women ( well, maybe it depends upon what they want to cling to )

The B-24 was and is butt ugly.

The B-17 is a very nice airplane. 2 to 3 years ago I was priviledged to see 2 in one place on a Saturday in Galveston, TX.
