Ok, so I'm watchin futbol, and it's the second half and it's Brazil v Ghana and the score is still 0 - 0. Ok. now Ghana beat Hungary 3 - 2, and Brazil whacked Hungary 5 - 0 (can you say defense: can you say offense) and it looks like (so far) Ghana is dominating the inside lanes.

What's up with Brazil. Is this like a fish day so they can't nibble on bolettas on the bench, or something? I ain't seen no real O yet. Pele would be pissed.

At least we can still make it from one side of a football pitch to the other without keeling over from exhaustion 10 yards in...

Yeah... A self-inflicted bullet hit in the thigh, or a judicial hit for arranging dog fighting...

I just can't get into watching "Rest of the world" football. I appreciate the huge worldwide fan interest, and enjoy paying attention to the World Cup...at least in passing, but not much would make me sit down and watch a match on TV for more than 5 minutes. I honestly have more interest in cricket, and I know next to nothing about it.

I think i've discovered the secret. Soccer can have a hypnotic effect when your at a English style pub drinking a strong brew. I can watch it there though i'd rather watch American Football....that is when I don't have my head stuck in a book.

Ahhh but which players has the manager decided to play....it probably is bolettas on the bench day.

If my son can eventually parlay his interest in futbol to a full ride at Wake Forest....I'll learn the inner workings and history of the beautiful game.

Being silly can be fun. It helps when dealing with the public

Yes....for example when commenting positively about two day turns....and someone feels the need to "defend" one day turns as if there's a petition to get rid of the latter, you smile and nod.

When someone declares the game is BIASED in favor of Japan....and then refuses to answer or avoids a querry on whether they've actually played that side......you smile and nod.

I was kinda hoping for a 1-day turn vs. 2-day turn jihad to break out.

As long as you didn't quote Point Break, I'm good.
