Us catholics have always preferred more tropical zones.

hows the trinity looking today with all the rain?

Which trinity? Wind, sleet and hail or snow, ice and cold? It's just around the corner, I'm sure...

no this muddy creek that we have that runs through Dallas. that our city leader keep trying to build 100 million dollar bridges over designed by famous architects. but all they really do is run up the city dept and drill into the levees destabilizing them.

The construction is going along pretty quickly considering the recent weather.

Meh. The snow in Minnesota generally isn't all that bad. It's the -30F that is the most unpleasant bit about Winter.

The poor suckers to the East of the Great Lakes (e.g., Northern New York-Buffalo, etc.) really get slammed with 'lake effect' snowfalls that stagger the imagination. 12-15+ feet of snow in a given season isn't unheard of. That's 4+ meters for our international friends. Not only do they have to have the right roof pitch, but they'd better have egress from the upper story windows too

Having lived in St. Paul, MN for eight years and Ft. Drum, NY for four I would would say both places have their charms.

I grew up 30 miles north of Fort Drum (spent 23 years there). Summer was nice.........of course summer was the 4th of July

In #6250 my office is right at the different colored band on the building (Thanksgiving Tower) to the right of the tallest building (BoA Plaza). If you'll look closely you can almost see me waving goodbye. It's happy hour afterall.

They've got the piers sunk for the bridge just south of the Continental/Singleton bridge. Some of the construction is definitely inside the levees.

Dad used to to tell me that shovelling snow, among a great number of things, is character building

It wasn't much better with a snow blower. Usually the wind blew right back at me.
