Just wondering if there were enough of us to set up a fantasy football league.

Or how about a mod called "Peace in the Pacific" where KB goes to China and loads sttlers to take back to Japan and I withdraw all trrops from China. Now the onlt overseas posessions are those manadted by the LoN after WWI. Then I'm the goodies and you're all fascist-imperialist aggressors.

Is it a long visit or just dropping in for tea and biscuits?

Just dropping in for a while. Hopefully not even that though, I've heard he can get a bit angry at times. I know I've got at least two visits this month.

I've just given the AI a bit of a slap.  I caught three invasion forces without air cover with two US carriers.  There's only been three confirmed sinkings so far, but there are plenty of damaged APs now which should slow down Skynet a little

I should be spending time reading more of the manual and poking/prodding at the Guad scenario, but reading the forums seems to be more fun.

Biscuits are things smothered in drippin's gravy, and come with chicken fried steak. Ya'll need a tall, cold one to go with that.

Hey John,
do you know whether there's a way to let conversions and upgrades cost something, so that naval or merchant points have to be spent?

Even with the 3rd AVG Rangoon is under siege in my game, the AI has certainly gotten a boost in AE.

Unfortunately, no. It would have to be done in code. It was seriously looked at, but the whole production model would have had to change, and the whole idea of conversions was speculative. If the production model incorporated it, the model would be highly skewed for someone who just let things alone. There wasn't any time left for that extensive a rewrite.

The choice ended up being that upgrades/conversions cost time and distance; time to do the deed and distance in that many have to happen where the shipyards are, so putting a radar on a DD (for example) means schlepping her butt back to Japan, as well as the refit time.

F***!!!

I read about that once and was hopeing soooo much! This would've ment that ANY ship suitable for a carrier conversion - and that's a lot, even for the Japs, might have that option. How can this be done now? I see no way without giveing the Japs dozends of carriers for free...

So even the CS to CVL conversions are for free?

Ah John,
do the conversions at least block the repair shipyards?

Almost beat you 4 BB at Pearl and POW and Repulse. Then Arizona sunk on turn two.
