Two quotes come to mind...

Never argue with an idiot...he'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Never argue with an idiot because those watching can't tell which one is which.

First time I heard the second of these quotes was from a Marine buddy I was teaching with in Memphis.

No ... no, no. I know and love my Thread brothers (and you are one of them Torsten), and ya'll can break my balls all you want.

But dickless, jumped-up, arrogant, brainless, pissants, on the main boards, are gettin me down. Gosh, wish I could say my little left toe has forgotten more about a subject than those dickless wonders even knew existed. But that would not comport with Matrix' desire to sell the game to a general audience.

One must do, what one must do. Honor compels.

But I can't wait till this is over. I have a list, and they are fargin toast.

Hey John, for many years I ran Biology teaching labs. I had ~600 kids a week come through my labs. -We're talking college here- If I had 2-3 a quarter who really wanted to learn (<0.5%!) I thought it was a good quarter. I understand where you're coming from. Focus on the good guys. There are plenty of them around. You'll be happier.

John, I would suggest you build some model planes or ships as part of your therapy to relieve the stress they all put you under.

The other part of the therapy is to paint each one of their names on the models, find some large explosive type devices, and then blast them all to bits! You know, 1's and 0's.

Actually, you are quite right. Good therapy. I'm not doing model planes, though. I got a Lomo con papas fritas going, with a sweet little thing who's seriously into sweet onions and sliced tomatoes. Oh, Lordy, just how many times can 1 go into 0?

Hey John, I'm finally getting to the point where I can do some initial planning. I just identified the locations of all the TKs and AOs. Still have some work figuring out what to do with the AKs. Earlier I figured out how many of each type of plane we get as reinforcements. Damn are there a lot! Aircraft production is definitely going to have to increase. Question for you: Do we get new factories online during the game that we can't see at the start? People sort of implied that earlier (or at least I think they implied it).

Not sure. I'm not a production guy. That would be Andrew. But I will ask the question.

Remember zero divided by 1 equals zero. Or 0/1 = 0

Morning chaps

Working on a similar, if more half-arsed effort, idea to Historiker for the Allies.  Has anyone else noticed that early doors the First World War Royal Navy destroyers actually have better AA values than their newer companions   ASW is terrible though   Their range is (as for all Brit DDs) poor as well, not so much of a problem in the Bay of Bengal though.

Admiralty 'V' Class:  AA=86,  ASW=2
Admiralty 'S' Class:  AA=68, ASW=2
'E' Class:  AA=21, ASW=8 (take that Japan with your crappy ASW escorts )
'N' Class:  AA=65, ASW=8 (I need more of these)

Actually what I need more of is the 'P' Class and more Tribals.  But seeing as most of the Ps were sunk in the Med and the Tribals don't show up until late looks like I'm out of luck   Isaac Sweers is pretty handy when she turns up though, more AA than most RN CLs

I've only been off for four days... Took some non-AE time; no sense in burning out when I'm supposed to be making a good scenario.

I always took the final data, so the AA/ASW from the last upgrade to know where it'll end.
