It's Christmas Day here now as it after midnight on the eve. Mrs Divepac baked the traditional Kiwi/Aussie desert tonight for tomorrow. It is called a Pavlova; it is basically a big sweet cake with a sugar crust, and a soft center. In New Zealand we serve it with whipped cream, but in Aussie they serve it in a bowl of Fosters. I personally like the Kiwi version with the cream, but normally wash it down with a glass of beer.

I have uploaded a photo of the moment that Mrs Divepac pulled the baked Pavlova from the oven. She was very pleased with Herself, as it hasn't slumped it the middle as most do.

And again Merry Christmas one and all.

Sweet cake, sugar crust, soft center, whipped cream-yum.

Sweet cake, sugar crust, soft center, bowl of Fosters (WTF?!?)-what I'd expect from those that like Vegemite.

Christmas here will be a small family event this year. Just the four of us with a couple of feet of snow outside to play in. Mrs. Chickenboy is taking the kids outside to wallow in the snow for a bit. Son Mk1 mod 0 has spent much of the morning identifying the gifts under the tree that belong to him...mass tonight followed by the 'yule lasagna', a family classic I've made for the past decade or so...

A comparatively quiet Christmas this year-I'm looking forward to it...

Merry Christmas, all.

Today is equally celebrated with Christmas Day in our family.  Around 25 of our family and friends will be here for a huge dinner that my wife loves to cook.  We'll exchange presents today with everyone except for the 3 of us.  We'll save that for tomorrow morning, along with what Santa brings.  Our son is funny.  He is 11, but he continues to play the game for us.    He knows that "those who believe will receive", so he'll likely state that he still believes in Santa Claus when he's 20 years old.

He also happens to amaze us on an almost daily basis.  He mentioned a few days ago that Christmas Eve is his favorite day of the year because all of his family and friends gather at his house.

It's going to be a very hectic, exhausting, and wonderful day for me.  I'm a lucky man to have so many friends and family, along with my Thread Brothers.

Have a fantastic day, everyone!

That sounds great . Have fun, and Merry Xmas.

Unless you're willing to play the original version, I couldn't... even that one depends upon whether the original can be made to work under XP!

I have purchased it, but really tried it out yet. Let me practice some and maybe I can eventually give someone a good game.

Peace has once again settled in over the house after the excitement of the day.  My wife is passed out from exhaustion upstairs, my son has gone to bed, but is not yet likely sleeping soundly, I have the "traditional" one last present to wrap on Christmas Eve on the table waiting for me, I have a glass of eggnog within reach, and the 24 hours of A Christmas Story is on TV.  "Who's mommy's little piggy?"

Here's wishing all my Brothers a wonderful Christmas!

Well, every ones to bed and now I must figure out how to deal with Scott1964's KB. Since it is still 1941 it may take a very clever plan. I have therefore enlisted Santa, Baldrick and Captain Morgan to assist me in crafting some clever ruse.
