Sorry to hear that Eric...

Thanks Leo.
This "thing" is going to take time for a while.
In France, the media usually talk of a "long sickness".
I usually use the word cancer........
And apart from it, as there is a surgery near the throat, Mrs Gladiatt could become mute... For the time being, we must wait until 21 august for a decision of doctors about wich specialist will do the operation.

I greatly appreciate any thinking or word of my threadster pals, be sure of that.
Eric

Best wishes mate, there's not much more I can say really Stay strong for Mrs G.

Thanks Martin.
I will try not to bore the threadster here each and evry day with this thing that make me anxious, and i will try to complain a bit about my PBEM (wich is at a halt because the sync bugs are coming every turn or so, and me and my opponant are a little bored).
Or maybe i will try to make some jokes.
And if i remenber correctly, your freedom is near an end ? When is Martin Junior expected?

Apart from the fact that a single Chutai of Zeroes can't wipe out the combined Allied air forces on their own?

Kidding, or is it real ???
If true, the game really need some correction: i am ok for zero taking the best of allied airplanes at the begginning of the war, but a single chutai wipping hundreds of plane is sure a broke....
Think i will wait a bit to purchase AE;

I think you've misunderstood there old chap.

The current whine from the JFBs is that the Zero is *only* shooting down 2-3 allied fighters for each one they lose.

Odd that the AFBs aren't complaining as much, perhaps they're saving their effort for when the Corsair doesn't have the effect of a squadron of X-Wings?

For the moment, my wife and I are thinking of the hollidays we had this summer, of those we WILL have next summer, and in fact we are making much jokes together !
We think of what's coming, but we are more closer then ever, and it help each of us !

i usually use an "image" about me (or my wife): think of a boat on an wide ocean; the boat is not a sport one, nor a yacht; it is rusty, bad build , with a weak engine. But if the storm arise on the ocean, the boat will take water, plunge in waves, be shaked, but in the end, it will reach the port: in bad shape, but it will reach it !
Thanks for the words of support Leo.

Will do that, Dixie. Ain't gonna stop in Kingston, though. Jamaica is just a waypoint. The real bitch is the cut between Cuba and Haiti. Depending on the breeze, we may have to tuck to Cuba, may have to tuck to Haiti.

Owner put some nice weapons on board, so if we have to tuck into Haiti, and they come to play, we'll blow their doors off while screaming for Guantanamo backup. If we gotta tuck by Cuba and get snagged by one of Fidel's PBs, we just drop 'em over the side and play nice little Maltese sailors, while screaming for Guantanamo backup. That's what AR-14s are for, yeah?

Oh yeah; we ain't pickin up doo-doo.

If we can go "hey diddle diddle, right down the imddle", life would be good. That way, we won't have to drop the iron overboard till we get close to the Zone.

Mrs Gladiatt health is a pain, not good at all (will explain further).

Sorry to hear that Eric...

Best wishes!

Eric

My wife is a lab supervisor for a cancer clinic...I see folks struggling with this when I go see her at work. Y'all will most definitely be in our prayers.

Best wishes Gladiatt. Sounds like your doing as best you can and I'll be pulling for you both to make it back to port.
