Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,

Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Cant you hear, cant you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.

Buying bread from a man in brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, do you speak-a my language?
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich

Here's the complete lyrics. Looks like we were both sorta-kinda right:

Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,

"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

Lying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said,

"Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

Who can it be knocking at my door?
Go 'way, don't come 'round here no more.
Can't you see that it's late at night?
I'm very tired, and I'm not feeling right.
All I wish is to be alone;
Stay away, don't you invade my home.
Best off if you hang outside,
Don't come in - I'll only run and hide.

Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?

Who can it be knocking at my door?
Make no sound, tip-toe across the floor.
If he hears, he'll knock all day,
I'll be trapped, and here I'll have to stay.
I've done no harm, I keep to myself;
There's nothing wrong with my state of mental health.
I like it here with my childhood friend;
Here they come, those feelings again!

Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?

Is it the man come to take me away?
Why do they follow me?
It's not the future that I can see,
It's just my fantasy

Oh...Who can it be now?
Oh...Who can it...Who can it...
Yeah yeah yeah

Jump down the shelters to get away
The boys are cockin' up their guns
Tell us general, is it party time?
If it is can we all come

Don't think that we don't know
Don't think that we're not trying
Don't think we move too slow
It's no use after crying
Saying

It's a mistake, it's a mistake
It's a mistake, it's a mistake

After the laughter as died away
And all the boys have had their fun
No surface noise now, not much to say
They've got the bad guys on the run

Don't try to say you're sorry
Don't say he drew his gun
They've gone and grabbed old Ronnie
He's not the only one saying

It's a mistake, it's a mistake
It's a mistake, it's a mistake

Tell us commander, what do you think?
'Cos we know that you love all that power
Is it on then, are we on the brink?
We wish you'd all throw in the towel

We'll not fade out too soon
Not in this finest hour
Whistle your favourite tune
We'll send a card and flower
Saying

It's a mistake, it's a mistake
It's a mistake, it's a mistake

My mind goes sleepwalking
While I'm putting the world to right
Call careers information
Have you got yourself an occupation?

Oliver's army is here to stay
Oliver's army are on their way
And I would rather be anywhere else
But here today

There was a checkpoint charlie
He didn't crack a smile
But it's no laughing party
When you've been on the murder mile
Only takes one itchy trigger
One more widow, one less white nigger

Oliver's army is here to stay
Oliver's army are on their way
And I would rather be anywhere else
But here today

Hong Kong is up for grabs
London is full of Arabs
We could be in Palestine
Overrun by the Chinese line
With the boys from the Mersey and the Thames and the Tyne
But there's no danger
It's a professional career
Though it could be arranged
With just a word in Mr. Churchill's ear
If you're out of luck you're out of work
We could send you to Johannesburg

Exactly

Dust Mite

You wouldn't want to eat any of these, the word "mite" is a warning

The traditional "ethnic delicacy" joke

some people eat anchovies. and some people eat gravlox. and vegimite is pretty good on a piece of bread. I think it is better than haggis that would make me get very sich.

The trick to eating haggis is to drink single malt scotch with it. A WHOLE LOT OF SINGLE MALT SCOTCH. In fact , the more you drink, the better the haggis tastes. Just before you pass out , the haggis becomes "not too bad".

speaking of lyrics........forgot those vague wierd Aussies

(now is the onlt thing that's real)

binge, cringe, cringe, binge, sloppy
binge, cringe,
(the police used to watch over the people,
now they're watching the people)
sloppy, mincing, eyedropping, biopsy.
cyclops overlooks optic options.
rotton, showstopper, skinpopper.
babbler dabbler.
self confessed criminal.
tore pen in vain.
instant, still spellbound.
game stock, talk back rock.
reencounter incident.
subsistance is inexistant.
(now is the onlt thing that's real)
non committed, unwitted, oblivious.
habitual resistor.
roughed up edge, fluent nudge, pre-collect ignition.
motivation inexistant.

wasted views,
thats all they see blue,
hot blood, guilt, optic nerve.
with the right attitude you will succed, blue.
self abusive recluse, too late for me.
make shifting peace unsettling.
crazy...doing crazy things.
keep your eyes open, soft spoken changes nothing.
a view so cruel.
(a few)

dogs body comatose, torchlight roast.
disinterest. disinfect.
retold, impressed by possession.
insiders know, refresh, detained contest.
all that is pure, sure tonight, freeze in time.
shadows climb, distracting override.
instincts evolve, over and over.
why cant you see this?

(do you, don't you want me to make you?
coming down fast but don't let me brake you.
only tell me tell me the answer.
you may be a lover but you aint no dancer)

wasted truth.
why call it all, blue?
hot lines.
eventual decline.
with the right attitude you will succed, blue.
resent that discontent.
sidestep.
define the state of things so far.
crazy things, soft spoken..overide.
with your eyes open, you know soft spoken changes nothing.
a view so cruel.
nothing.

view so cruel
view so cruel
you so cruel
view so cruel
a view so cruel
a view so cruel
(..so cruel)

try and take over, over the fringe.
sloppy, eyesore, rotten, showstopper, skinpopper.
a babbler and dabbler.
oh, change, change!
nothing.
nothing, so, no, nothing.
go, down.
go.

(now is the only thing thats real)
