Oh, Good Thread! Why???? It's such a bad show!

GF unit loves it. If GF unit loves it.....it must be good. Well, i like it too. Its witty and funny. A unique "spin" on the serial killer story. We also picked up season 6 of NCIS. House Season 5 is next!!!

But he has no personality. Dexter is a caricature, a cardboard cutout. There's nothing there.

He was like that on 6 Feet Under as well, maybe it's the actor more than the role and writing.

Tried watching Torchwood . . . I don't get it (even though it introduced me to the existence of BBC Wales! Who knew?) Of course I never got the last couple of Dr. Whos after they added another $50 per episode for special effects either. While I'm on a roll . . . I never understood why they remade Godzilla w/ cgi. The charm the movie had was two guys in monster suits wrestling around in a city diarama (for best example ever see War of the Gargantuas).

CGI can't top Charles Barkley vs. Godzilla.

Wow! I had completely forgotten about that ad (and what a thin Barkley w/ hair looks like). Just went to youtube. Thanks for bringing back good times . . . good times.

Bad guys as good guys is a theme on TV nowadays. Leverage is an example that kinda works......

That one looks promising, but I have never caught it. Just don't watch too many shows on TV.

Just watching a doku about the great white... One men fishing was out with his Kajak and was traced for 45min by a 6m long great wite. It even put its head on the end of the Kajak to take a closer look...

Is the swimming route in florida saved with nets?

No nets. Results in much faster swim times.

I have a little shark-o-phobia... When I was on Mallorca last year, I always raced back to the shore when I thought about sharks...

Crusade was the spin-off from Babylon 5 , which the producer pulled the plug on after 13 episodes. He wouldn't go along with the network trying to turn it into a "soap- opera".

It was never that popular except for sci-fi junkies. For that matter , niether was Firefly. Most people hadn't heard about it till it had already been cancelled.

I only heard of it when I watched Serenity in cinema and looked into IMDB. There was a sort of "from a cult-series", so I tried to find out what series that was...

Happy to oblige. If you are a Sci-fi fan, all five seasons of B5, several movies and the thirteen episodes of Crusade are on DVD. It was very well done, the first "space-opera" done entirely with GCI (no models).

So where in Florida is this "Ironman" being held?

Panama City, Florida.

Are you going to cheer me?

B5 is definitely worth watching. So is Farscape. I loved Serenity, but never saw Firefly.

Probably not this time. I might be in North or even Central Florida, but if recall correctly Panama City is Gulf coast , more than half way down the state. A little bit far for a "brief detour".

Farscape is good. Never seen but a few episodes however. Enough to recognize when Criton took over SG-1 though.

If you liked Serenity you enjoy the series, keeping in mind that you already know the ending.

Its in November 2010 - so you'll have plenty of time to organize it

My wish list to date after getting season 6 of NCIS

Season 9 and 10 SG-1 (completes collection)
Season 3-5 SG-Atlantis (low back burner though as we didn't like it nearly as much as the original)
House Season 5
X-files Season 4-9
Bleach Part 8
Full Metal Alchemist (season 3 -?)

Then there's the new Doctor Who and Torchwood if the BBC ever considers lowering their damn prices

Someday i'd like to see the BBC finally offer full seasons of classic Dr Who. That'd be nice. Probably never happen, but i'd be nice
