Yup, sure was. I downloaded WitP at the mob station in Jul 09 and spent the year learning it. The only downfall was I didn't have access to this website. I had to learn everything on my own. Upside was that I got to spend about 4+ hours a day for a year to learn it.

May we assume that roughly 3,5 hrs of those 4+ hours a day was spent figuring out japanese production?

Heh, yeah. I made an overwelming number of spreadsheets. I eventually tailored it back when I got back to the real world.

ok so i know t will answer this. i expected to see withdraw dates for all my dutch units and most of my pi units. i see some commands i can't change for us air units and some nz air units around fiji with withdraw dates but where are the dutch units with withdraw dates am i not looking in the right spot?

No withdraw dates. They are static restricted, which means they can never become unrestricted, and can't be Sir Robin'ed out of there. Because of that, there's no need for withdrawal dates.

so you can't change their hq right?

There's a replenishment TF that can hold 77k fuel in the vicinity.

I don't care if they go into battle standing on their heads wearing seersucker bikinis, so long as they can get a 500 pound SAP bomb down Hiei's funnel.

Correct. There's static restricted, which can never be changed, and temporary restricted, where you can set a date to release the units.

I believe that, in technical terms, those tankers were empty.

T, as I still don't have it and never had the time and mood to read some hundred "AE XY-TEAM" Threads, would you answer me a few questions?
Y/N should be mostly sufficiant.

1. Is it really possible now to let ship upgrades cost naval or merchand points = HI?
2. Are the planes still handicapped for game balance like in witp, where no allied DB or torpedo carrying plane flew more than 5 hex or do they have their correct ranges, now?
3. Can ships that are disabled because of upgrade be sunk in the harbour?
4. Will the DB collapse again if the plane/pilot numbers reach a high level?
5. Is there any chance to deactivate other nations than the russians or even turn them to the Japanese side?
6. Can Russia be attacked by surprise without haveing to cross the border before being able to bomb(ard)?
7. Does the classification Coast Defence Ship exist?
8. Is minelaying still restricted to specific classes or are all ships with mines able to lay them, now?

How many slots for ships/planes/airgroups/ground units are roughly unused?

Thanks!

1): Er, no idea...
2): All planes have correct ranges, and remember that WitP's 5 hexes is more in AE.
3): No. They're considered "taken out of the game". An air attack can damage the yard that's working on them, though.
4): Let's find out... Hopefully not, we HAVE looked at it.
5): Eh???
6): Not to my knowledge, but I'm not a land combat expert.
7): No. You'll have to make the Norge, Eidsvold and Ilmariinen battleships, I suppose...
8): The ships that can lay mines are dictated by which ships you can put in a minewarfare TF (see the appendix of the manual).

For the last one... I have no idea, quite frankly. It's many, many thousands.

Thank you Kristian! If you should ever feel tedious, feel free to help me with the historc correct scenario (the others might be too far off for you )

There's another idiomatic error. It's "feel bored" if it's me. Others might feel I was tedious.
