Sorry, Eric. It was somewhat of an "inside" joke directed at Mynok. He's met my wife, and my wife loves wine, so she's one "non-frenchman" that makes up for you not preferring wine.

hmm, like a kind of exchange ? If you find a french not loving wine, you should find a foreigner that do so....ok, i get it now.
And no need to be sorry of course .
And right now gentlemens, i am starting ....my..... WEEK END

I think he was saying that his wife likes wine and makes up for the volume that you do not drink.

no. especially when the doctors, those overpaid nicompoops, can't tell you why. At least i have some pain meds for the time being. Back in the day all they'd give me was Iburprofin and refer me to the next 'specialist.'

we think we're so smart but all it takes is a long winding journey through the medical merry-go-round to quickly realize how much we still don't know jack about.....including the human body.

can you do sports?
I had horrible pains in the back 10 years ago. When I started goint into the gym and especially training my back, they never came back after muscles helped to stabilize.

Yes. Thats a big part of what confounded the doctors. My pain is not action oriented. Its in-action oriented, meaning that i'm in the most discomfort when i'm immobile (sitting or laying down) Exercise actually relieves the pain and sciatica down both legs.

Whenever i'd see a doc, and explain the situation they'd all get that same puzzled look on their face to the point where i could read their thought processes.

ok....he's young (at the time....not so young anymore!), he's fit looking and HWP......he can do all the stretches and exercises i put him though.......its either all in his head or he's fishing for prescription meds.

yeah right..... Ultimately around beginning of this decade, after years of pain at work and at home in bed or in front of the computer it just went into remission on it's own....till recently. Now its back. man i don't want to go through that, popping 3000+ mg's of IBU again. yummy for the tummy.

Gah! That's a load on the liver there!

Have you tried stepping away from 'scientific' medicine and trying some alternative medicine?

Yeah, it was a wonder i didn't blow a hole in my stomach. Fortunately i'm a bit of a genetic freak where my stomach and esophagus are concerned. Despite such abuses and Acid Reflux to boot, both are fully intact. The specialist i saw who scoped me said i was one of those 1 in 100 people who for some unknown reason have very resiliant linings that show no scaring or indication of the disease.

I considered accupuncture at one point. Have done chiropractic and PT, but in the latter case in particular, it doesn't really address the root cause. The muscles get painful but the source of the pain is either around or inside my spine (Lumbar and/or Sacral region), where it can't be reached by massage or stretching. It also accounts for the nerve pain down both legs.

How could trying acupuncture hurt? It's not like anything else is working. You should be able to find a quality specialist in your area. Do your research though. There are plenty of quacks out there.
