Well, if it means anything, he's planning to move from Texas to Florida.

That's a shame, Texas's loss and probably Florida's loss too.

Edited for grammar foul.

ehhh when you can convince someone to pay you 20k more to move to jacksonville. you move to jacksonville. as always i will believe it when i see the offer letter in the mail. anyway i only plan on staying out there 3-4 years before trying to move back.

true also the distance running scene in jacksonville is not at all comparable to dfw. they only have like 3 or 4 half marathons a year and only 2-3 fulls.
as a bonus maybe we can all go run a half uss

I ran (very slowly) 4 miles yesterday for the first time in forever.  I might need a while to get back up to 13.

Why is it that gay men seem to know the female of the species better? Is it because they don't fall for the bumps and curves?

When I was something like 11, I made the mistake of watching "The Shining" alone at night when my parents went out to a party. The scene with the twin English sisters standing in front of the boy holding hands with one another comes to mind. "Come and play with us. For ever. And ever."

When the elevator doors opened in slow motion and torrents of blood spilled into the hallway, my wierdsh**-o-meter pinned. I got the 'skin crawling on the back of my neck' sensation and was completely freaked out. Still gets me when I see it.

Because straight women love to go hang out in gay bars and tell their gay guy friends all their secrets and desires.

I was a big Stephen King fan until I discovered H.P. Lovecraft. Then King became Scooby-Doo...

I read "The Amityville Horror" when I was something like 9 or 10. Big frickin' mistake. I had to sleep in my older sister's room for about a month. There's a case where the book was infinitely scarier than the movie.

"GET OUT!"

Meh. Some of King's earliest stuff was pretty well done. Lovecraft is OK too, but I don't think he eclipsed some of King's earlier works.

As an aside, my wife has demonstrated her awesomeness by knitting me a Cthulu hat / face mask for the winter here. I'll wear it, but then I guess that once I look unto the visage of Cthulu, I go mad.

Anyone here ever play the RPG "Call of Cthulu"?
