Isn't it, though?

I woke up at 5AM this morning, thinking I heard opera playing. Turns out it was a car alarm...

It could have been worse. It could have been YOUR car alarm...

No worries there... "T" doesn't own a car...

Leo "Apollo11"

Nope. Just the alarm.

heard somewhere that it was made by a giant worm unleashed by the aliens .

If not fake, it's pretty incredible; the fact that the hole seem "clear" ( i mean the border of the cliff is very sliding) is although inciting to doubt....no ?

Saw the same pictures on CNN.com.  Maybe that means they are authentic.

Leo "Apollo11"

Depending on age groups there are different scores. Below 30 (my age group) the minimum pass is lvl 9.10 on the shuttle run, 20 press ups and 35 sit ups. Minimum pass means I have to do it again in 6 months, higher levels (lvl 11 for the run iirc, 35(?) press ups and 41 sit ups) mean a 12 month interval, but I'm in no danger of that with my running!

http://www.topendsports.com/testing/tests/20mshuttle.htm
This is the MSFT (run) we use, this is the bit I hate, the frequent turns usually leave me with a sore knee. It works out at approx 1.64km in 10 minutes, easy in a straight line or a treadmill but not so good on a slippery wooden floor.

http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/canijoin/fitness.cfm
These are the pre-joining fitness levels, they weren't around when I joined. I could probably just about manage the run, but the situp and press up levels are pretty laughable

Morning Tithe...

Never said a damn thing about ALL Russian designs being copies. Said that particular Sukhoi was a copy, which it is.

Either way, almost finished with Foote's Civil War. Damn thing's taken almost as long as the war itself to get through...

T have you enjoyed Foote's Civil War so far?

I'm about halfway through the last chapter of Volume 3, and yes, very much so.

Then again sometimes a copy is a copy. The Russians reverse engineered the B-29.

Think the Brits would have willingly maintained that 'license' for the MiG 15 engine or might that have been another example?

I think Stalin said it best. "What fool will sell us his secrets?"

Find a new job Terminus, they don't deserve the hard work you've given them. I'm looking for a new job myself.

Hmmm... I don't understand Kristian...

You got subpoena from whom?

Hospital (I thought only court can do that)?

If it is hospital why is that so difficult (i.e. show what you did to hospital management)?

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.
It is subpoena and not supoena...

We won't just sell secrets either We'll also ship hundreds of Hurricanes and Spitfires to the USSR rather than sending them to RAF Squadrons out East who really needed them Especially once the VVS starts rejecting the Hurricanes whenever possible.

Big day of smokin pig tomorrow....no, I'm not going to be killing policemen or whatever else your demented minds took that to mean.

I will be smoking lots of pork low and slow over a hickory fire which is what we in the South know to be actual and definitive barbecue. Burnt sausages or beef patties covered in charcoal dust is not barbecue. That is called compost.

And barbecue does not include beef. Beef is good. I do like a good smoked brisket, to be sure. But it ain't barbecue. It's smoked brisket. Barbecue is pork, always has been and always will be. I have all the historical documentation I need to teach you Texicans why you are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

Enjoy your Memorial Day fellas. I'll be cooking and mowin and drinkin and generally livin it up for all those who gave their lives on our behalf.

Them's fighting words. If it's low, slow and smoked it's bbq. Cow is perfectly acceptable. And yes, I had bbq brisket yesterday.

I was implying more that CNN.com "may" be trustworthy more than the pictures, which I had no doubt about.
