Roughly 3.8.

I'll take swimming courses at the end of september and again in november to improve my swimming. A 25m pool is 500m away, 50m is about 3km away. As soon as I have a neopren suit and someone in a kajak to protect me from ships, I can also swim in the river 400m away.
So I'm pretty sure I'll handle this!

But if you see me comeing out of the water first, you now know the real reason: Its not that I am a superb swimmer, its rather that I was sooooo afraid of sharks!

Torsten, the key to swimming, just like running long distances, is to find a good, aerobic pace that you can keep up.  It doesn't have to be fast.  In a triathlon, you spend way less time swimming than on the bike or running, so unless you're trying to win the race, you want to just cruise through the swim and not burn any excess energy.

Hey! I'm starting there to win! At least to become one of the first 75 to gain a ticked for Kona!
Just look at the one who's passing Norman Stadler with a much higher speed on the road!

Look at Interview with the Vampire (Lestat and Louis are OPENLY gay), Twilight and True Blood. If there are women involved, it's only as beards...

The monstrous aspect is completely gone. Christopher Lee and Bela Lugosi were never gay, neither was Willem Defoe in Shadow of the Vampire (superb film).

Today we have kinder, gentler vampires.

If they weren't that way, all the hordes of teenage girls who watch and buy tickets wouldn't be interested.

I guess it's time to get off my butt and start playing the Guad scenario vs the AI.  Brother Mynok has thrown down the gauntlet for a weekend long, rapid fire PBEM next weekend.  It will be interesting to see how far we can get, but I don't want to be embarrassed, either.

The vampire in Van Helsing was anything but gay.

I'm crashing, fellas.  My son and I are running a 5K tomorrow morning to support the Carolina Hurricanes' charity foundation.  Lots of players, coaches and staff will be there to run with us.

I'll give you that one, but Van Helsing was made by Stephen Sommers, the guy behind the Mummy movies, and he doesn't do serious films. Interview with the Vampire, Twilight and True Blood are all EVER so serious...
