Turn 50 sent. As the last year of the game approaches, I see the Galaxy has broken down into a general war for control of the Imperial Throne.

I have resent turn 51 to Ian Powter's address, which has always worked before, so it's a mystery to me.

Lunaticus sent me this:

"Hi Casus_Belli,

maybe it is a time-zone thing? Alexandre lives in Brazil so for him the 16th might already be the 17th for you?
Best regards,
Nicolas"

And sure enough, he is correct. I received, played and sent turn 51 on the 17th. I have not received another turn since then.

Drako turn 52 sent out.
My apologies to everybody for having to reopen the turn. I started playing it late last night but did not get to finish.
Best regards,
Lunaticus

Cadwall turn 53 played and sent on.

It's turning into a real nail biter. The entire Drako Navy just showed up on my door-step, but with the time left in the game, will they be enough to make a difference?

I amazed we're going to finnish this one.... 5 players..60 turns... awesome job everyone!

Turn sent, sorry for a coupla days delay. A nail biter indeed, and great to belong to a group of like-minded obsessives. It's one of the best things about the net, being able to hook up with people who are interested in hex-games. I don't know anyone irl who is!

Turn 54 sent.
I do not know if we will be able to stop House Cadwall (GrumpyMel) but at least we can give you a good fight for your money.

Turn 55 sent on to House Romanov.

You certainly would if the game went on longer. With only 5-6 turns left I'm not sure if you'll have enough to do so...but it's going to be very close.

Turn 55.

A massive attempted landing on Circe by DeCastillian forces has been repulsed with heavy casualties by Cadwalli fighters. Similarly, an attempt to occupy one of Cadwall's starbases has been stymied by a small but determined force assisted by psi(shoudl be psy)-ops units. We expect to occupy this starbase next turn, but it's bit like Omaha Beach there.

Turn 56 played and sent on to House Romanov.

Omaha Beach is right. It's a bloodbath up there, complete with heavy fire support from Drako ships. Turning back the DeCastillo landing forces could have been a crucial play.

Elsewhere, House Cadwall forces have made landings on the Sian-Chi homeworld of Tranquility, capturing 2 settlements there.

Turn 56 sent. Heavy battles on several fronts. Also the saboteurs are getting to be a nuisance.

As now turn 57 is the August turn I am assuming that there are still five rounds left to the game, right?

Additionally: I hope I mentioned already that I think this is a great scenario. Very enjoyable as can be seen by the evidence of the second testgame now running over a year already and running.
Very much looking forward to an ATG version of this scenario. I think with the new editor features some nice things could be incorporated. Having the alliance feature by itself will make for very interesting new ways to play...

I can double check, but I believe December is the last playable turn. January simply declares the winner...I'll check the code when I get a chance and let you know for sure.

Turn 57 played and sent on to Romanov

Turn 57 sent.
I am still feeling like I am learning the game. Did not bring enough fighters for an invasion party. That is pretty unfortunate...

Turn 58 Played and sent on to Romanov.

Yup, you and DeCastillo both ran into that snag. You got Space superiorty but didn't have enough atmoshpheric craft to get your forces planetside safely. Good luck on my part.

I'm sorry everyone, I seem to have stuffed up when renaming and saving this turn, and it's disappeared from my computer. Unfortunately I don’t have time to replay the turn just now, so there may be a further delay. Sorry about this.

There won't be any strategic consequences, there were no battes, it was just logistics and organisation, which I can pretty much repeat.

If I may hint at one small wish for the ATG version: I agree that the current system with guerillas does have some effect on my units and is disrupting to my reinforcement flow. On the other hand it makes playing the turn very very long without adding too much to the gameplay. So maybe it could be done in future that there are less guerillas but they are stronger and pose a more interesting challenge? As it is I crush the same small units on all my planets again and again...
But still like the scenario.

Yeah, partisans aren't really doing much in terms of effectiveness. What I wanted was for a way to get some forces onto a planet even when the space lanes to it were blocked. So control of space was still majorly important but you could still do a little bit of something even if you were outgunned in space.

ATG with it's ability to play action cards on a unit or hex opens up some interesting new possibilities though. For instance you could use an Action Card to try to bribe an enemy unit if it was next to one of your Agents or something like that.

Also those Guild Ships which can move through Deep Space will be functional in the next version. Makes the JumpGates not a complete bottleneck....plus should make the Guild worthwhile aligning for a player.
