I'm still very new to the game, I haven't even had the time to get past April 1940, but I have spent time reading the posts on the forums and I've seen more discussion about events in the game than probably any other single topic.

My question and/or suggestion would be to include some events that are linked to specific intelligence coups. One event that comes to mind is the allies' success at decoding the enigma machine (with the help of some Polish mathematicians I might add.) Or Patton's fake army the allies displayed in England before the D-day landings (I've seen footage of inflatable tanks.)

Obviously events can be used to do just about anything the developers would like. If they're linked to specific historical moments it might just prove to make things a little more educational/informative.

I agree events is a powerful tool in this game. I just hope all the clamor for more "history" doesn't make the game more rigid. I play games to have fun and hopefully, if playing the losing side historically, to change history. Randomness and the unknown are good things in a game if done in a thoughtful way that leads to a challenging contest.

Oh yeah, I couldn't agree with you more. There are tons of games that have little replayability due to lack of randomness. I like the entire idea of Events that the developers incorporated. I was just daydreaming about some types of things that would make for good explanations for events.
