Could be worse. In mine they didn't hit PH again but hit Midway and are going after Enterprise (situation in more detail on my AAR)

Yeah! They could have gone on to Seattle and whacked out Colorado and Warspite while they were at it.

I'm up to 28 December 1941, and am knocking out about five turns per day, so sometime next week this AAR should be up and stumbling again.

In some ways things are worse this time: Except for Colorado being repaired, the BBs are gone, and at the moment, I have only one crusier available in the central pacific. Bright spot is that my repair yards aren't cluttered up with broken, obsolete BBs. Also, somehow or another, I've managed to hang on to Canton so far.

Some things I've learned

If I'm going to make a "Fight to the last bullet" defense of Singapore and Manila, it might be a good idea to start building fortifications sometime before 24 December 1941.

Little ships definitely work better in little ports than do big ships.

At the beginning of the game, Hawaii needs lots of little ships (<6000 ton transports and cargo.) to build up, and supply Palmyra, Baker, Christmas, Johnston, and Canton. Therefore, little ships showing up at Panama should go directly to PH rather than wandering up to SF and then over to Pearl.

see ya sometime next week
