Downloaded the public beta and try to install..comes up with a dialog box "Launcher Error" saying "could not start the setup"....

Something must be interfering with it. Can you post a screenshot of exactly what that error looks like? Are you sure the download completed? Did you turn off any anti-virus/security software?

If in doubt switch the PC off and on again...

Installed fine thanks for your help..
