FULL GAME // Veteran Player looking for Veteran Japanese Opponent
Hello
I'm a old & cold WITP Veteran, but new at the Forum's. And I'm looking for a Opponent, AE Scenario 1 Full Camping.
I have played several full PBEM WITP games before, and would for this reason prefer that you are a experienced Japanese opponent. I was thinking that I would pick the Allies this time.
As House rules I'm open for discussion, but have a few recommendations:
1. The Allies may in the first round only move ships currently at sea. 2. Jap troops must pay PP to leave Manchuria 3. No Sub Invasions 4. Only Glenn aircraft may be assigned to Japanese subs 5. No Allied Strat Bombing out from Chinese bases 6. No Allied units allowed on Soviet terretory 7. No Gamy tactics
I don't believe in limiting the Jap's to xx amount of port strikes on turn 1 or those kind's of things, I feel that if "it" could been done then its fair game, however if you feel for adding any House Rules to the list then go ahead and post below..
I'm a very reliable player, and to me it is very important that you are as well. I hate games ending due to either side just quitting, so please only sign up if you know that you are the type of player who stay the course, the type of player who stay until the very end.
I was thinking 1 day turns, but I'm often able to do more if you are. Since Im new at the forum, I can provide references from previous games if that is preferable.
REALISM FOW- on ADV weather- on Allied Damage Control-on Player Def upgrades-on historical 1st turn-Off dec 7 surprise-on reliable usn torps-off realistic r&d-on (or off – whatever you preferr) no unit withdrawal-off reinforcements- +/- 60 Days
OPTIONS Combat Reports-on Auto sub ops-off TF/Plane move radius-on Set All facilities to expand at the start-off auto upgrade ship/air-off accept air/ground replacements-off
We can start the game now, or wait until the Beta Patch becomes Official 1.1 - whatever you prefer.
If you are interested please send me a PM or Email and we can there discuss the details.

This is intended to be my only ongoing game the next 5 or so years, so it is very important to me that we both are comfortable and convinced that the other is the "right one".
The Game is still open, to the people interested to play could you add a line in the PM about what WITP experience you have.
@Antrax
Hello, I got your mails, and I understand as you now have told me about your performance vs other people, and about your great victories at Pearl and elsewhere, but I feel I would like to play vs someone who have been around here for a while. I have no doubt that you are a skilled player, but I feel that it would be more confterble due to a reliability perspective if I played vs someone who have been around here at the community for a while.
I have never played anything with you, but I do not doudt that you are a skilled player.
All the best to you, and good luck.
Paul

I don't know why you behave like this, I have never played with you, I don't know who you are. I tried to say no to you in a polite way and I answered you best I could, then you react like this, sending me agressive emails and PM's all day long... I'm sorry if you feel offended by getting turned down, it is not my intention and I have tried to be as polite to you as possible.
Please, don't hijack my thread Antrax, I'm searching for an Opponent for a Long and Serious game, Ok
I wish you all the best and good luck to you. bye
Paul

Mister Hausser,
I do respect your decision not to play me.
After all I did sink around 5 BB's at Pearl.
And invaded the targets our divine Emperor decided.
So, I feel you fear me.
And consequently you better search an easy US opponent.
That will free you from a till the last Jap player.
Luckily,Mr.Hausser, the real men on the US CV's were more men then you are.
You're probably too old to play wargames against a dangerous opponent.
So,maybe a beginner will tease ya.
Success,
Antrax
I was hoping that Paul would explain why he chose not to accept you as an opponant..., but you just did a far better job of explaining it than he ever could...
Well, I never played with him but got some strange mails so I decided not to. I tired to tell him no thanks in a polite way but It seems I failed somehow.
I have never had doubt that he is a skilled player, afteral you can read above what he apparently have done in other games...
I feel reliability is important, this is after all going to me by only game the next 5 or so years..

You don't need to explain yourself to us. It's your choice who you do, and do not, play against. If you don't want to play against him then that's your choice and an adult should be able to accept that and walk away The response from the other guy is unwarranted, probably because he's trying to get a rise from someone...
i have about 2 years of PBEM experience in UV and more then that in WITP and was happy to play the GC as AE came out. but after takeing a intense look at the game, i am a little bit....shocked by the large scale and complexity of the game...dont get me wrong, i love mikromanagement and also spending hours over hours to make the famous japanese first turn, but i think that the GC as japanese is too much for me.
anyway..good luck by finding your opponent.
the only way i would ever play japanese in AE would be in a 2vs2 or 2 of us against you with credible opponents. tell me if you are intrested.

I'm defiantly interested. Feel free to bring your friends in on your team of course not a problem at all. If possible I would hope that 1 round pr day is possible, how does this fit your time schedule(s) ? Also, do you have any preferences or adjustments of the suggested HR's ?
I sent you a PM.

i know 2 european (one german and one austrian) experienced players for which i would "lay my hand in fire" like we say in germany.
i will ask them and let you know their decision.
the HRs are ok with me. i would only like to add a minimum alt. for 4E bombers on naval search/naval attack (15k) and a limitation for the number of torpedo boats per base (maybe 1 PT-TF consisting 6 boats). also, i would turn the realistic r&d off so the japanese player gets more freedom about research and production.
also, 1 or more turns at a normal day should be no problem at least for me.

Sounds perfect, I agree with all your adjustments.
Ok, I put them into the list and here is then how it looks:
1. The Allies may in the first round only move ships currently at sea. 2. Jap troops must pay PP to leave Manchuria 3. No Sub Invasions 4. Only Glenn aircraft may be assigned to Japanese subs (Exept I-400 boats) 5. No Allied Strat Bombing out from Chinese bases 6. No Allied units allowed on Soviet terretory 7. 4E on Navel Search / Navel Attack ALT min 15000 ft 8. Max 1 TF of 6 PT Boats pr base 9. No bombing of Jap homeland untill October 1943 10. No Gamy tactics
REALISM FOW- on ADV weather- on Allied Damage Control-on Player Def upgrades-on historical 1st turn-Off dec 7 surprise-on reliable usn torps-off realistic r&d-Off no unit withdrawal-off reinforcements- +/- 60 Days
