This is wonderful, gary. You have done an excellent job in writing up the balttle. This battle is one of my personal favorites and it kept me busy for hours working on it. You have a future in writing AASR's. Now if only the other players would respond after reading this great work of yours.

Come on, everyone. let gary know what you think of his phenomenal work here. he put a lot of time to do this and a little appreciation for his efforts is the least you can do

I just LOVE your AARs! I've only played this scen once and if memories served me right I managed a DV, but with hight losses, including both Stugs inside Malin :( I remember the later 282 reinforcements not being very helpful as they marched very slowly to the front. I even sent some trucks back to haul them but with all the roads beat up into moonscape by the artilleries they just didn't arrive in time to do much good. Lost almost the whole company initially marching on the high road, but with the help of the D platoon managed to finally kill off every last one of those darn cossacks! the other 2 inf platoons get suppressed repeatedly inside malin by the 122/152mm. Also lost some AA/AT guns inside there which was a mistake. They didn't do much good as soon as the shells dropped. In hindsight should have set all the guns outside of Malin. Even if they don't have any targets to shoot as least they'll survive. All in all one of the most intense battles of the MC. Great job Brent, Matrix, and Gary!

Have to say this is one of the best AARs I've seen written.

I've just bought LV and this has given me a real taste for it.

Cheers,

Iain

What a great AAR! I love the conversational tone and easy back and forth between the major characters. Good idea to break it up by turns, and putting those screen grabs in. That was the first time I saw those in an AAR.

I can't praise this enough. Great Job!
