@michaelm
Well as long as the player knows he sacrifices his ammo to gain that cargo capacity I wouldn't mind to see it listed, would help to decide on what subs to use for supply runs as I don't want to use any of the real transport subs with there precious troop capacity for such a run.
BTW isn't 3 times a bit much? Looking at subs like Gato class that can carries 60 tons it seem much too much for the torpedoes left behind.

I'm playing Grand Campaign as the IJP.

I've had this message come up in Tracker under Alerts:-

Turn : 9

Object Type: Economic

Object Name: Veh Assembly

Alert Type: Global Veh Points

Value: 146

Severity: Critical

What is it pointing me to? What can I do about it?

Tracker is such a brilliant tool, but what with relearning the game and tracker at the same time has been a bit of a struggle, but I am determined to slay the beast of the Japanese Economy.... but sometimes I wonder where to start

Can anybody point this restarted beginner in the right direction?

It is telling you that Vehicle points are very low. I think I made the threshold below 5K iirc. What you need to do is to increase you vehicle factories to about 200~250. I think they start at about 78?? So increase each of them by enough so that you get increase in production across all of them so that you reach 200~250 in the fastest possible time. Make sure you have 10K + supply at each base

You might want to read my econ doc ...

Hi,
I wanted to start using Tracker again (not using it since a long time, and I changed computer since last time), but I've got a problem.

I first had to install java (wasn't installed at first... go figure), but now Tracker doesn't work... and I'm no crack at computers.

Here's a screenshot.

Any advice ? I fear the solution might be simple, but still above my head...

Delete all the trackerdb.* files and then:
1. Edit the batch file WitptrackerNoMap.bat
java -Xms512m -Xmx768m -jar "WitPTracker.jar" nomap
pause

2. Try running again.

What does this mean, please? I can't get tracker to start. Sometimes it does but other times it gives this. Using Win7, 64 bit, current version of Java.

Can you have more than one copy of Tracker installed on your machine?

The reason I have asked, is that I have a copy of tracker up and running perfectly for my originally installed game, 'War in the Pacific Admirals Edition'.
( that I'm using for PBEM ) .

The second copy is in the same Matrix Directory but is retitled into a slightly different place ie 'WitP AE First Copy'. Will this affect Tracker, because I can't get Tracker to work in this second directory, as it comes up with error codes. What am I doing wrong?

I have been running into a problem I had playing WITP and using tracker already and I am now encountering again, after having used tracker for something like 80 turns it takes a terribly long time to load the programme. It took nearly 10 minutes to load tracker yesterday and from my earlier experience it will only become worse. Now I've seen several screenshots on the forum when ppl have been using tracker for hundreds of turns it seems, not possible for me.

Have a pretty decent computer, lots of RAM and all the stuff you've got nowadays and am using settings Damian suggested in some of the posts here. I'm sure the same issue has come up before, unfortunately I haven't got the time to go through all those 105 pages here, sorry if I'm beating a dead horse. It's such a great tool for AE and I really would like to use it for my whole PBEM campaign as it gives you such great info and nice detail for my AAR but as it is now, it gets unusable again, same problem I had during WITP, on a different (but pretty new at that time) PC.

No - just the correct dll ...
The pwsdll.dll should be in the beta2 folder if you're using the "unofficial" beta. The MP dll is different from the normal one.

Cheers

Hi Damian,
I've loaded the latest patch down, but I don't have a Beta2 Directory anywhere in the game folder, and the patch is an autorun

I take it you have applied the patch - right? You must be using the official beta patch. This patch overwrites the files in the game root directory. I'd copy the pswdll.dll from c:\Matrix games\War in the pacific Admirals Edition\ to your tracker folder.
Delete the trackerdb.* files and give it another go ...

Sorry for not explaining properly before...

Impossible You haven't cleared the db files correctly. Delete all the trackerdb.* files there are usually 6 of them. Do it say initializing DB in the dos screen?

Then after the first turn is loaded, then you can load subsequent turns which are game time dated in advance of the last turn loaded...

"usually 6" .. depends how you exit the program ... so you should be all good...

I assume you're getting the "turn already loaded" message cause you are not reading the next turn but the same turn.

Go to the Tracker page for more instructions or watch

Not sure if you already have received this suggestion for the next version... The newer Betas have a feature where a device can be "stockpiled" to allow it to build up (meaning units with replacements or upgrades On cannot receive the item). On the Devices tab, could Tracker have some indication of this? Maybe a column, maybe a different color?

Another request. On the Devices tab Tracker has a column to indicate when a device begins production. Could you add a column to the right of that one to indicate when the device stops production? Some devices do not stop production even when the device in their upgrade path begins production, so I wind up switching back to the game to look at the pool data (which has that column now).

Thanks for considering these things.

I'm trying to load a turn into a Tracker version 1.8 that I've had going for awhile with the betas & it was working w/ the regular betas but this turn is the first turn I'm trying to load that is w/ the MP version as I started having out of pilot slots problems. When I try to load the turn into the Tracker I've had going it locks up in the updating pilot info step (I've let it go for over an hr with no movement that I can discern) so I quit Tracker. I started a new Tracker 1.8 & it says initializing database but doesn't seem to end (even after over an hr I don't see the press any key to exit I'd expect) so I close the DOS window & start it like I'm going to load a turn but I get the following. I've moved the pwsdll & pwsdllMP files from the beta2 folder. Anything else I might've missed or is Tracker not set to work w/ the MP version?

Version 1.8 doesn't work with the MP version. You will have to wait for the 1.9 version.

If you rename the pwsdllMP to pwsdll.dll then it might work with some errors. I can load using 1.8 doing it this way.
