I get the tracker to work but only with turn 1. After that, even when I change the save file, the traker just loads the initial turn. How can I proceed?
I am trying to install Tracker. Am following the directions correctly I believe. I ensure java was installed and followed that link to download I think it was c++ sp1. Next step is to open witptracker.properties. as you can see in the attached picture the icon for that file is...wrong. I cant open it...as if I am still missing something.
1. Your right that worked lol I frankly am speachless I didnt do that.
2. I think I didnt do that or think of it because I am flooded with information from inside the game some part of my basic processing must have shut down. LOL
I'm still pretty inexperienced in this game and I want to use the tracker for the first time. So that's why my question: Which turn should i use to initialize the tracker? I want to play as Japan against the AI and i want to use the Historic First Turn. So, should i use the Second Turn or the Pre Turn Save which is automatically created in the second save slot?

You start a new campaign You resolve the first turn and save it in save slot 005 You save resolve turn again in save slot004. It will be your Tracker slot for the rest of the campaign Turn two - save in 006 and once again in 004 Continue this pattern until the end of the campaign

Tracker was working fine and now it just won't load at all. I keep getting the following error. Any help ? Looks like it runs out of memory, but I cannot allocate anymore than 1024 as it gives me an error when I exceed that.

Xargun, I have had this happen and I cured it by closing all files and rebooting my computer. It seems that the available RAM gets fragmented, causing this error.

Seems to work sometimes and other times I have to reboot 2 - 3 times before it will work...
Xargun
I have reset my meomory switches multiple times and have found that these seem to work the best
-Xms256m -Xmx768m
Also it seems to help to not have anything else open when you load Tracker and load the next turn. After you load tracker and the next turn you can then run anything you want.

I'm having the same problem as Xargun. Tracker works fine, loading turn after turn, then randomly it fails to load a turn and will forever be hosed after that. The only reliable solution for me has been to delete the folder for it and reinstall. It happens often enough that I built a powershell script to delete it, copy fresh files to the proper location, then copy over the properties and .bat file that I need. It's still a pain because I end up losing all of my historical data. I'll give the memory settings BillBrown recommended a shot and see what happens.
I've got an issue with the WITP Tracker tool on a fresh install of both WITP:AE and of the tracker itself. When I try to load my save (a Dec 9th 1942 save), I get the error message attached to this post.
I'm on Windows 10 and Java is the most up-to-date version. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
D:\Games\WitP Tracker>java -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar" Initializing WitP Tracker AE database. D:\Games\WitP Tracker>pause Press any key to continue . . .

There is something in the operations.txt file that I didn't expect. These errors don't kill the program, so you can keep working.
