I'm playing Japan in a PBeM
My combat events report contains the following line:

quote:

TF 411 converted to Escort TF 295 (2 ships) and routed to Pearl Harbor

I'm pretty sure this regards an Allied TF, I think I even know which ships were in it (I sunk a TF of 2 damaged ships limping back to PH this turn).

Of course the axis player doesn't get any relevant intel from this, but it seems strange to have it in the wrong side of report. I wonder if it also shows in my opponent's combat events report, or if the game just outputed the line to the wrong file.

In the same report there are lines like these:

B-17E Fortress from 7th BG/88th RS attacking a Japanese SS at 182,108

Is the Japanese player supposed to know to which air unit the enemy planes belong? Also note that the japanese SS is not identified by name (well, number), again this line appears to be intended for the Allied player report.

I have saves if needed.

PS: sorry I was mistaken, it is the combat events report not the op report. I have corrected the post text and subject.

this occurred again in my PBeM. This time the info shows in the operations report.

Tarakan is held by allies. I suppose TF 211 was a 4 DDs TF that run into 2 CAs and 1 DD.

I've noticed a couple of messages where my opponents subs are ending their patrol and returning to base. Nothing all that important, but i shouldn't see it. For example:

SS Shark cannot fully replenish at Midway Island and terminates patrol

Just for info, I had another of these (well actually multiple occurrences of the same "info leak").
While I considered this issue a minor annoyance, this time it essentially gave away the position of Enterprise, so it might be considered a priority for next patch (unless it already is ;))

From combat_events:

SBD-2 Dauntless from VB-6 has spotted a Kagero class DD at 158,96

AIR OPERATIONS PHASE : PM

SBD-2 Dauntless from VB-6 has spotted a Japanese DD at 158,96
SBD-2 Dauntless from VB-6 has spotted a Japanese CL at 158,96

Note that joperationsreport reports instead this line:

TF 10 detected by Allied Fighter at 158,96 near Midway Island

(misidentifies SBD-2 for fighter and doesn't give air unit name)
