But he suffered for it - some of my units were able to attack his raids, and did some nice damage to them......I think he will try to continue this tactic for the next 5 to ten turns, but if I still are able to hit him on my conditions he will have to change his effort from radar/airfields to something different.

turn 4:
what a bloody turn!
Axis raids did came in all over the map in multiple waves, hitting radar sites airbases and secondary airfields as well as some industrial sites.

Because of this I tried to make a maximum effort day.....and I was lucky that thre was only for a short pulse during midday that the AS went up to 8!
But Kevin´s forces also were hit hard on several occasions, but I think he will continue his maximum efforts.
Therefore I have moved fresh units from the north southwards and units with a morale lower than 50 up to Scottland.

here is may radar situation.....I need to have patrols up everytime the radio interceptions goes up to 100+....this is not good for my units....I hope repairs will kick in soon...and that Kevin does not see this soon enough!

and finally a picture of the loss screen - what a bloody day!
I lost enough A/C for three Hurricane and one Spitfire Squadrons - and I still have not a single ace ( but there are now a few with 4 kills)

The German also lost a nice bunch of aircraft - Kevins total numbers will go down, because he does not get enough A/C for such heavy losses.....but still.....I think he will continue until his best Gruppen are down to half strength......

turn 5 was a brutal day once again for the Fighter Command.
The Luftwaffe flew many raids during the whole day...and now that the Home Chain is broken, I start to have problems.......I have to put up far too many patrols for an early warnig of his raids.....but they do not always detect them......
Kevin flies a nice mix of low and high level raids...and he also starts to attack some industry now.....we will see....
Low level raids can be dangerous for both sides......

I start to have fuel problems at some air bases around London.....

Here is the situatio during the late afternoon raids:

turn 6:

After I have lost nearly all of my southern radar sites, I use multiple patrols on different altitudes to counter Kevins forces........here a picture of the morning patrol areas

I was surprised that good old fat Hermann....aaahhh Kevin.........changed his tactics and does not longer only hit my A/Bs and secondary A/Fs but now is bombing industrial sites with around half his raids!
My boys now have a much easier life....no more sweeps and enemy raids on my southern A/Fs....I really hope Kevin is continueing with this strategy

Kevin´s forces seem to be unstoppable....but they take heavy losses.

turn 7 - this must be the Battle of Britain day in this game!

here is the radar situation in the morning.....you just cannot call this a gap in the home chain........all of southern and middle England is now without radar cover!

Because of the now missing radar cover I have patrol with a lot of sections around the map......and they have to be up early......the Germans seem to love getting up very early.
You can see that there is a patrol close to each of the red radar sites (at different altitudes....because with high patrols Kevin may be able to slip low level raids through....and he has done this several times now )

The morning raids concentrate on the A/Bs and A/Fs around London - several of them have units on them...but luckily only light ground losses occured.
Many of the raids are on low level (400ft or below)

Later there are raids detected by the Home Chain in Wales......it seems that Kevin wants to slip a raid through the Irish sea or the Bristol Channel.

It is clear that we need to react to the raids at Wales....but I have only few forces there.

And just as the focus shifted to Wales a low level raid is detected by Defiant patrols on the coast of Lincolnshire....this is not good.....the airbases here have up to 4 squadrons on them in a semi-resting state...

and just as my forces scramble to counter the low level raid, there are several more detected.........ahhhhhh.....we will try to bring more interceptors in the air....at least there seem to be no escorts

Scottland is also visited by Luftflotte 5 low level raids....one raid was detected when the bombs exploded on the air field....and the other one shortly before they crossed the coast.....

And as if that was not enough for the day, Kevins forces are incoming once again all raids are detected quite late (over my own territory)....but that changed....

In the night there were two more raids against coastal sites...the radar did not pick them up before they dropped the bombs.

It was a very good day for Fighter Command....the Luftwaffe C in C Kevin will not be happy with the outcome of this turn!

but not everything is well for the Empire - here the overview of my airbases.
You can see that Kevin is making good work at wrecking the airfields - I cannot really fly missions for bases with 50%+ damage!

Turn 8:

There seems to be no way to stop the German forces....for a short time the AS was once again at 8!
This is because too many of my important FC A/Fs are cherry red...Iit seems that I cannot do anything about it.

Only way seems to be killing enough of the German forces........I was lucky to hit two of his coastal Stuka raids today, but the Germans also hit several A/Fs and some industry hard today.

Other than that....3 radar stations are back online

turn 9:

more good weather.
more German tactical raids vs airfields and radar sites.....but also night bombing of Portsmouth.
14 aircraft lost for 41 Axis A/C

more and more radar sites are coming back online, but the airfield sitution in the south is bad....really bad....15A/Fs damaged 50+ (=no sorties possible)

here a picture of a newer toy - the Spitfire II ....at the moment used only by this unit:

until midday I was able to react to every enemy raid.....but in the afternnon my forces got too strung out to keep this effort going....
Raids that are not attacked have a much higher chance of a good bombing run......and now he starts hitting important sites.....
