Hi Strat,

The strafing of Akagi is something that's been happening before but I guess they never managed to completely solve it. In the beginning it used to cause a crash so it's a bit better now.
If you want to read more search on Akagi (think you misspellt it a little).

If you have a save file where you can recreate it Ross might be interested so keep it.

Regards
BPRE

Please load save 109, 1/2/43 turn with USN IA. Run turn, at end right after Supply game kicks out to main menu. Have repeated identical results six times, two after defraging HD with UV. You will have right turn if last IJN attack of Kate's from Luganville scores 1 Torp hit on CV Wasp. First serious problem I have noted, first Campaign as IJN vs AI. Thanks.

I've been crashing when I go from my solitare game to a PBEM turn and then back.

Any thoughts?

Last post to this thread was Sept. 2. I, for one, have never had the game crash on me. Might it be time to retire this thread? It kind of looks bad being at the top of the list saying "Post Crash Info Here", as if the game crashed a lot. Might turn some potential customers off of buying the game.

Let me take a load of pressure off your shoulders cap/gown, by stating that I got a CTD recently using version 2.0. Same ole CTD as always. After playing for awhile I make one more click on something and kablooie. Good thing there is a autosave.

I’ve never had a crash or lockup prior to version 2.11. With version 2.11 the game locks up my computer when exiting the game. I’ve gotten around this by alt-tabbibg out and then using ctrl-alt-delete to shut the program down. Irritating but workable.

I am running WinME
256 MB ram
Gforce2 graphics card
No programs running in the background that weren’t there with prior version of UV.

I just got this game for Christmas, and I was able to play through the tutorial for awhile, but then it crashed. Then I patched it and tried to play for real. Now, the game crashes after about 5-7 minutes of gameplay. Usually it just freezes up, sometimes the screen goes blank and sometimes it bluescreens, but usually the game stays on the screen and the music continues.

I have a homebuilt system with the MSI K7T Turbo motherboard running an AMD Athlon 1333 with 256 MB of PC-133. I have a 60 GB HD with 40 gigs free. Geforce 2 MX video, Hercules Gametheater XP sound. I have the latest drivers for everything and I am using DirectX 8.1.

Please help!
Thanks,
Mark

EDIT: Here's more info - upgrading to DX9 didn't fix it. Also, it doesn't seem to matter which scenario I'm playing, and when it crashes I have to hard reboot with the reset button. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and played with and without patches.

After posting many, no ...countless. CTD reports here, I have decided to upgrade my old PII system to a newer faster system with an upgraded video card. I hope this fixes this CTD problem I have had from v1.0 to 2.2. Let ya all know.

:)

Hi Gentleman. I posted this in the main forum i guess. Anyway i have a amd 1.7 ghz proccessoer, 528k ram, 80 gig hd, nvdia geforce4400 128 meg video card and creative labs soundcard.
My problem is that after i have been playing for a few hours it will either take me back to the load up page for the game or lock up on me.
