In list above delete "england" and replace with "U.K" (or, indeed for real pedants, "United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and somethign something something"). Not all of us are english...

This question kind of goes along with this topic. I always thought it would be nice to have a list of highlights for the war years. In other words for the US Dec. 7th would be a highlight, VJ Day, VE Day, June 6th, Sov vs Fin, Ger vs Pol, etc.. Anyone know where I could find a cheat sheet? ------------------ Good hunting, Pack Rat

So, you like the Minors too, eh?? I would be interested in PBEM in this genre, hopefully my server would co-operate this time! Last week couldn't receive attachments, so a PBEM with a fellow in Australia was a bust, was I pissed!! If you like, mail me either a scenario ready to go, or ideas for a generated, or whatever, should be kinda smaller, as I'm re-doing alot of icons to coincide with the release of the oob's, this is keeping me really busy!! Thanks!! ------------------ Mike Amos Meine Ehre Heisst Treue

I think Brazil entered the war when it was almost over, and Denmark didn't fight, they just surrendered to the Germans after a phone call. Also Turkey entered the war just before the Germans surrendered.

You know what I like best about this forum? Got a question about Brazil in WW2? A Brazilian will probably answer! Curious about some aspect of the Spanish Civil War? Just post your question, and in a few hours someone from Spain will reply! People on other game forums I follow are mostly from the USA, Canada, or the UK, with a smattering of people from Europe, Australia, and NZ. I think I'm gonna like it here!

Vietnam also was invaded by the Japanese, but it was a French colony at that time.

Can I just point out guys, as rexmonday said

This is a very importent point Great Britain is made up of four very different nations. The english, scotish, welsh and northern irish. It may seem a petty point to those who are not familier with our national make up, but its more then an important point for us. Calling a Scot English would have the same effect as accusing a Canadian of being an American, actually, the out come might be worse (grins)

I don't know the status of whether you count a lot of the east asian countries as countries for the purposes of this question. But there seem to be a couple missing here. I know that many of them were still parts of various commonwealths/empires/whatever at the time. I guess these fit in with the question about the Phillipines.

Pardon my ignorance, but I've yet to figure out which part of the island is Welsh. Could you enlighten me? A minor note, but Korea was Japanese colony since early 1900's but they fought a guerrila warfare up in the mountaineous north Korea until end of the war. Guess who the leader was? The late North Korea's dictator Kim Il Sung...

Spain was a non-declared belligerent. Franco sent an infantry division to fight in Sovunion. (Made up of Fascist party hotheads, if I recall right.) Basque units in the Free French Army often fought under the Euskadi flag. But what flag did Spanish Republican exiles fight under. troopie ------------------ Pamwe Chete

What type of missions did they primarily fly? Ground support or escort?
