Sorry fellas got to ask another withdraw question as a forum search hasn't helped.

OK the Dominion Monarch (British xAP) is due to withdraw. It's sat in Colombo harbour - now where's the ******* withdraw button?

The rules says it has to be off map or at a home base. Does Colombo not count as a British home base?

Thanks in advance.

Nope, you have to get it to Karachi (nearest base to Colombo where you can withdraw a ship)

No. With the UK present on the map, where do you think the British "home base" is?

So the manual should say "home bases, and in the case of Commonwealth forces Karachi?"

Sounds like off map is the safest bet.

There is certainly much confusion over what are the 'home bases'.
Previous posts I've read have indicated that Bombay <may> be a home base - but don't take my word as gospel.

One thing I have discovered today - you CAN withdraw a ship in a TF in an OFF MAP HOLDING BOX (I did it in the box joining the Indian Ocean from Cape Town). Surprised me did that. So if your getting close to withdrawal deadline and many days out from the off-map base, don't fret and withdraw whilst in off map transit

Thanks to all bar one for the replies - much appreciated!
