I was just thinking about what happened and where some of the old faces of WITP and even UV have gone, when this story was splashed across the local newspaper here in Oz. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/rogue-roo-tries-to-drown-dog-attacks-owner/story-e6frf7jo-1225802167550

For those of you who are long time posters you may remember the man in the above news link as "Drongo".

It seems that old players just don't fade away, but pick fights with furry creatures !

I'm even older than Drongo, but I promise that I have no intentions of picking a fight with Sasquatch (I don't care what those jerky commercials say...).

Hah, I laughed and gave all Kangaroos a point for finally getting one back on Humans.

Hope Drongo recovers, cos he's going to cop so much flak from his mates

Well, if he's stayed indoors playing WITP instead of wandering about out there where all that nasty "nature" could get at him..., he's only have carpal tunnel to worry about.  When was the last time a computer mouse bit anyone?  Maybe MATRIX should adopt a new sales pitch?  "WAR IN THE PACIFIC...., the sure cure for Kangaroo attacks!"

Wow. Wild animals everywhere seem to be in revolt. Not long back I read a story of a young woman who was a gifted singing star being killed by _coyotes_ while hiking in Nova Scotia.

So, as an anthropologist, you think that animals can stage a "revolt?"

I can't believe that Drongo would attack a poor Roo.

It looks like he will be ok.

Yeah!? Or Planet of the Apes?

There is no question that many animals _are_ revolting. Particularly the neighbors cat who ****s in your yard.

Living in Colorado I have observed revolting coyotes (They find small dogs particularly tasty), a major revolt by mountain lions near my home (Final score Cougars 3 Homeowners dogs 0) Black bears (Black Bear 1 Camping tourist 0) and even Moose
(Moose 1 Church going senior citizen 0)

You've got to love the nitwit comments from the blog section below the article too. This kangaroo nearly drowns a man and his dog and two thirds of the morons blogging are cheering it on.

That kangaroo must have high ratings in "Land" and "Aggress".

I think the roo's Naval rating was quite high too, considering it tried to drown him. Probably a marine, or something.

I remember a few years back a coyote was in a neighborhood in California and it was nipping at a toddler who was playing outside.  An idiot was catching the attack on his cellphone cam while a good samaritan was trying to scare the coyote off.

Triggered by some action in my current game vs. the AI in the Coral Sea , a thought just crossed my mind  - couldn't help it: <Rogue Roo Six to base - scratched one "Drongo"!>   I know this issue was quite serious - nearly drowned and all - but since Drongo seems to be ok and will recover, I may be excused...

Hey, there are moments when if you'e upright, breathing, and hungry, it's good. This sounds like one of them...

And, I also notice that there are a lot of old timers who have appeared on this thread... Any word about some of the others who have been AWOL for a while....
